I 've been here a number of times and this is the only fish and chips place their Denver location) in the state of Colorado so far that never fails to please. They somehow fry the batter extra crispy without drying out the inside AND not feel greasy as I 'm eating it. The batter is simple yet it doesn 't taste boring. They 're also generous with nice big portions. No complaints on the fries/chips but I 'm mainly here for the fried fish. Also, I usually prefer skinny fries versus the chunkier style fries anyways. I ordered the sausage rolls. One was dry and dark in the middle as if it were old, and it was inedible. Two other rolls were raw in the middle, and inedible. When the staff member asked how the food was, I answered honestly. He stated the machine that cooks the rolls is to blame, and he offered no solution. The cod was good. Our first visit where we tried fried cod with fries, it was excellent. The guy behind the cashier register/bartender was super friendly and came outside to see if everything was okay.
