Very dissatisfied? The food was meh. On top of that, the place is very dirty. In my experience it felt as if the AC did not work, and the ventilation was non existent. The wait times just to sit down and eat are ridiculous. By the time you get to sitdown, you probably wish you chose to eat somewhere else. Service wasn?t as good as it could?ve been because it is apparent themanagers overwork their employees. The servers constantly run around, struggling to serve each table while it seems as if themanagers just watch them. With that being said there was one big manager with a button down and a chain, standing around withhis earpiece telling all the workers what to do. I was astonished to find...
LOVE this place!!! My husband and I haven't been here since before the pandemic and we're so happy it's still around. The food is without questions delicious!!!! The only problem is not having a bottomless pit for a stomach to keep eating more!????customer service was great from beginning to end. It's apparent that minimal staff on hand is the way many places need tooperate but both team members on the floor did a great job! Normally when I go to different GEN BBQ places the service is just Par and the food takes a while to come out. But this branch in Chino Hills the staff are super friendly and caters to your needs in the quickness. Although your limited to 4 meats at a time, they come out fast and you can order again right away. Also the meat is fresh and when cooked correctly it’s super delicious! I highly recommend this location, thank you so much for having us.
Disappointing. My family was the 2nd in line at 12:30pm for over 10 minutes and no one even came up to greet us. The staff seemed like they didn't even care. We left before we were sat at the table.Update. Our kids wanted to go back a couple of days later for dinner. I went with a party of 8 with no reservation. We were seated very quickly which was nice. The first hour was very good and we received all the food we ordered. In the second half, we received about 1 dish for every 4 we ordered. It took 3 rounds oftalking with the server to get a pitcher of water for the table The food tasted amazing and the grill changing was on point.Definitely would return
Party of 4. First order received was not enough meat to feed 2. We continued to order meat but got ultra slow service and micro portions. It’s incredible disappointing and stressful. We are all hungry and it feels like the portions are intentionally small. Will NOT be coming back. Horrible service and staff seemed unconcerned over the situation.Parking: None
I visited Gen in Chino Hills to celebrate a birthday, and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had! It took about 10 minutes to get my grill changed. When the meats were brought to our table, they were the wrong ones. I tried to talk to the manager, but he didn’t check on us or take any steps to make our visit better. Food rating: 1/5.
Annice our waitress was not very good at keeping track of food requests. We asked for water 3 times and it came at the very end when we are about to leave. Honestly my favorite Gen KBBQ location. Ask for Tyler!!! He is honestly the best server here!! We?ve also been helped by Jesus at the bar tables he?s also amazing!! We get excellent service each time. for how much these people need to memorize stayon top of, it?s definitely impressive!! S o Tyler!
