Went here last Friday. I wanted to say that I love this place. The food was excellent. I especially loved the fish frys. I have missed coming here and I am glad that I have come back.Will be coming here again soon. They are the best place to get a fish fry. Would recommend that you go there yourself. You won't regret it. Thank you to all to the staff who do an excellent job there. Thank you
The place is an institution. The food is good quality. The fries taste like they are made from russet potatoes. Haddock is great. Clams are tender. Onion rings are a treat. And I always get a mocha shake. Friendly people and no wait if you get there early. Nice picnic tables and pretty hanging baskets of flowers.
I’m eagerly anticipating the opening of Gene's. I’m not sure where the critics are coming from, but every dish I tried was fantastic. No one else serves fries or onion rings quite like Gene's. Your tartar sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted. To the critics, maybe keep your opinions to yourselves. Thank you!
A classic spot in Albany (located in East Greenbush). The scallop reels are outstanding—some of the best I've had outside of the Cape. They have a similar taste to the shells. This is a classic spot to enjoy a delicious burger or fish roast. The portions are on the smaller side, so it’s best to consider it more of a snack than a full meal. Keep in mind that they're only open for the season, so be sure to visit before summer ends. Well done!
Excellent food and service. Beautiful view overlooking the albany skyline. Gets better every year!
