I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant all week after seeing a mouthwatering picture of their Wonton soup. It looked so delicious that I couldn't help but get excited. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if my high expectations spoiled the experience or if the food simply didn’t match the prices. The soup turned out to be a disappointing version of Pho, and my friend's General Tso's chicken was just mediocre and not worth the cost. The shooters were alright, but overall, the food was quite underwhelming. The only bright spot was our waitress, Jennifer, who was lovely and attentive. In summary, I would recommend going somewhere else. The buffet might be a better option.
They offer some intriguing vegan options with unique sauces that go beyond the typical choices you find elsewhere. There are also vegan appetizers available. This restaurant is incredibly welcoming to vegans. My food was delicious, and my husband, who isn't vegan, also enjoyed his meal.
Great food and service! The cocktails were impressive as well. I tried the egg drop soup, which is the best I've had in the city, and it did not disappoint! Nate was an excellent server, providing attentive and friendly service.

5 stars when I reviewed years ago, and 5 starts up until it announced its closing. This was my favorite restaurant in kc, I will absolutely miss it. Rip, Basil Chicken Pot. Rest in glorious food heaven.
One of our favorite restaurants in Kansas City is sadly closed! There’s no other place that offers a Mongolian grill quite like it!
