Charming 17th Century Inn. My room was delightful and exceptionally cozy. I found the bar service to be outstanding, and the atmosphere inviting. They offer a wonderful selection of ales, lagers, and cocktails, including Pimm's available by the glass or jug. Additionally, there's an impressive variety of coffees, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos, along with a delicious hot chocolate option. The food was excellent, and the restaurant is quite popular. Notable features of the rooms include a state-of-the-art television, DAB clock radio, mobile phone charging pad, Nespresso machine, and kettle for tea. A Longleat safari trip to celebrate my Mother's and my Sister birthdays brought us to The George Inn. We found a treasure. Friendly staff, special mention to Izzie, who thoughtfully organised a potted plant and card for Mum's 95th birthday. Much appreciated, thank you. Their rooms are comfortable with a high standard of beds etc. Also, the best selection of hot drinks I have ever seen in a guest room. The bar area is welcoming and plenty of seating for a night cap. Breakfast offering was varied, we choose the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, delicious. Thank you all.
I've eaten here 5 times. Including a holiday meal with colleagues a birthday celebration and most recently bottomless wings Wednesday. The food is quite lousy the service is non existent. When I have to keep getting up, going to the bar for anything needed, that's just silly. I've given it many chances but it's just too bad and I will not return.
