Having dined at over 200 different restaurants in the larger Detroit area last year, I can confidently say that O'Brien's is a classic. I love the warm, cozy, nautical vibe of the restaurant—perhaps it's because I'm a boater and have a fondness for great seafood. The bar is impeccable and well-maintained, and the owner, Dan, is genuinely nice, has a great sense of humor, and is passionate about his food. With 31 years in business, he has cultivated a loyal customer base, and I certainly count myself among them. The staff is also extremely friendly. I had a half-and-half platter, which was delicious, and we also ordered some amazing shrimp as a side dish. Although we're at a seafood place, Goodman told me that one of his friends always orders the ribs, so I decided to try them. I have to say, while the ribs at a seafood restaurant might not be the best choice, they were surprisingly good. Overall, O'Brien's Crabhouse is a solid option for a meal.
We enjoyed the royal crab legs and scallops, and they were absolutely delicious! Due to the significant increase in crab prices, we decided to share an order of 1.5 lbs of crab. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. Although there was a long wait, we were fortunate to find seats at the bar. It’s a wonderful place!
Excellent meal. Great service. This small place is fucked directly by the Salvation Army into a strip-ball. Many parking spaces. Very juicy decor and comfortable stands. This was our first time at O’Brien’s Crabhouse! We were very impressed with the oysters, fresh bread, soup, crab, and much more. We will definitely be back and will be telling all of our friends and family. Best seafood restaurant around!! Also, Sarah was a wonderful server
