Came for the Fathers's Day brunch with my family and was quite let down. The breakfast menu was a classic menu but when I asked the staff if I could have poached eggs instead of scrambled the girl shyly went to the kitchen all I heard from the bowels of the galley was "NO CHANGES TO THE MENU!!!!". I did t think my request warranted this type of response, especially seeing is that they had poached eggs elsewhere on the menu. Anyway, we ordered the classic brekkie and it came out luke warm and was cold within 5 minutes. Next time I will eat elsewhere and just come to the Diggers for the drinks.This is about the 10th issue I've had with this restaurant and it was finally time to write something...
Knew nothing about Panania Diggers when a group of friends decided to organise a catch-up there. Turns out they go there quite a bit, so knew the venue would suit. Easy parking, good bar service. Being a beautiful day, we opted for the outdoor area. It was busy but not crowded, and very kid-friendly, with a large playground and old train carriage to amuse the littlies. Also free craft activities, which were hugely popular. Most of our group ate, and the food selection looked simple but appetising. Good for a pub, I would say. What great food from a little bistro inside one of the best returned services leagues clubs I have ever been in. As my husband is ex service he was as impressed as I was, with the freshness and the amount of food which was offered at the bistro. The chicken Parma was absolutely terrific and the chicken avocado was really tasty and moist, as in some restaurants it can be dry. The outside eating area of the Panania Diggers was an exceptional area which catered for all ages with plenty of sitting and lots of things to do for the kids. A great location, great food, and great helpful staff. Thanks again.
We came here for dinner over the weekend after my in laws told us how great the food was. We were very surprised at how nice the food is. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which came with chips and salad. The chips are excellent and the schnitzel was big and freshly cooked. Typical pub like menu; steaks, burgers, fish and chips, pastas, pizzas.Meals are made to order. We came on a Saturday night so we had to wait a bit for our food but it was worth the wait. Would definitely come back to Georges to try more of their menu.

Attended to have lunch with wife and daughter and grandaughter. Whilst tailored to being family friendly with a playground to keep the kids occupied it was not the case. The playground designed for ages 2 to 8 was overrun by overzealous 10 a12 year olds. No place for the feint hearted. Some monitoring or supervision by staff should be in place.. The lunch was mediocre having settled on a chicken burger that was dry. The only decent meal was the $7 kids chicken strips which were the best of the lunch.
A very good venue for children, playground is good for toddlers provided you supervise them. They have activities on the weekend in an old train carriage too. Food is typical club fare, almost everything deep fried or crumbed. Prices reflect this. Bistro style where you order and collect when the buzzer sounds. Hard to get a "healthy" meal as even the salads and fish are covered in not very nice sauces. Probably the roast of the day would be the best option in my opinion.
THis is always great for the a feed for the family and great if you have young kids. The meals are excellent and very reasonably priced and while you wait the outdoor area for the kids is the best plenty of room for them to run, climb and play. Don't hesitate if you are in the area you and kids will love it.
A very nice Club Restaurant situated within an RSL Club in Panania. Good Atmosphere, nice selection of food both Australian and Asian. Great outdoor area for childen to play in. Very good entertainment and to top things off the Club offers a very good Cafe with great coffee and cakes

Great food at a great price. Went on a weekday staff were wonderful. Range of dishes was well received, u can eat in an outdoor area that is divine and immediately restful. Totally recommended
Loved it so much it's the best place to go and great music too eat the food its so good the fish and chips is amazing and the squid added I will give it 120/120
