Giggling Squid - Tisch reservieren

We booked over the phone as online it said it was fully booked. When we arrived there seemed to be a problem seating us even though there were a few tables available. We were told we’d be seated upstairs. We were shown into an empty , cold space which we refused to be seated in, the waitress was saying something about the tables downstairs were reserved. I explained I had an email confirmation of my booking. We were then seated downstairs. The head waitress came over to say we should have said if we wanted to sit downstairs when we booked. We were never given the option and how would we know there was a choice having never seen upstairs before. No apology. She just said next time you should...

giggling squid is a fun Thai place on calverley road, close to many other restaurants (suchera, ask italian. they serve tapas style small tellers, but for dinner they have regular. I might say too big.
