Food was awful, McDonald's uses better quality burger patties. Extremely over-priced, nasty, gray, flavorless burgers. I feel like I was robbed after going here. $5 for an order of cheese curds my 9 year old could hold in the palm of her hand. Can't believe this place has been open since 1938 if this is the quality of food they serve. $65 worth of food and most of it went right in the trash.
For over 30 years, we lived in Wauwatosa, and Gilles has always been our family's go-to spot for burgers and custard. Even now, we make the trip to Gilles to grab a quart or more of custard because it really is the best!
I go for the custard of course but I love their fries and always a great experience when I go the staff is always really nice! Very busy and a small place but once your in you can sit outside to eat or wait!

Wonderful history facts around the restaurant about the year it was started (1938), gives the customer a wonderful bit of fun while they wait for their delicious order!
Setvice was great. Staff was very knowledgable and told me to get an extra-heavy malt how it was different from their regular malt. Support local business!
Watched 4 works standing around doing nothing! While waiting 10 minutes for 1 ice cream sundae. The service here is awful
