This felt like such a treat. The service is impeccable, I felt unworthy of the treatment! Beautiful flavours in the food – my mouth is watering reminiscing! I had a prawn and mussel curry which was incredible and with a generous portion of prawns and mussels. Unfortunately there was some grit in the mussels, however the feedback was received amicably and without issue. Gilpin Spice kindly offered us two free desserts on the house; we shared a mango mousse which was delicious. The interior of the restaurant was stunning, exquisite details and such a warmth at the counter seating. My wife and I had a great experience at the Spice. The staff helped us by taking time with us to talk through the menu including size of portions etc. The food was totally different to anything we have had before and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff made us feel welcome. The environment is also light and airy. I would recommend the Galloway Beef and my wife really enjoyed the Sea Bream.
Everything about the evening was amazing, we loved the decor, atmosphere and lighting. The food was so good and different. We were served my most servers and all were absolutely lovely especially Laura. There are different seating areas to choose from, even the toilets were very nice. If this restaurant was close to home I am sure we would go again but would definitely recommend
What an experience. We had friends who visited and recommended Gilpin spice. We went with some other friends of ours last week. WOW, the decor, the staff, the menu, the food, the flavours. All first class. The fusion of flavours was mind blowing and I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. We will be returning soon.

We visited as a family for lunch and had a fabulous meal. Plenty of choice for all courses, each of which was delicious. Good options for a range of tastes, including children aged 6 and 10. Lovely setting and service and a calm open kitchen. Can’t wait to go again!
Very different inspired fusion menu that tries to be sustainable. Menu has a number of sharing platters so try to go with friends to get a taste of everything so you don't miss out. Service very friendly, yet unobtrusive added to the overall experience.
What a lovely meal. The main prawn dish was not peeled prawns so had lovely flavour. Beef dish was also great. Stunning ginger cake dessert. Great service and good value for money.
Exceptional food and atmosphere. Visited this evening and sat at chefs table. Lovely seeing the food prepared and all of our food was delicious.
