Fo me as a Muslim, I used to eat only cheese pizza since the meaty stuff are from pork or including pork. Giordano's, one of the most famous deep dish pizza sellers decided to solve my problem as a guy who adores meat. They added HALAL ingredients to their menu which made my stomach's dream came true. Enjoying their deep dish pizza is now in another level. After I did enjoy it with cheese only, I enjoyed it with my favourite ingredients. What else you would search for as a Muslim in your pizza? Beef salami, beef bacon beef sausage and more. It was really a pleasant experience and I was really happy about it. It was little bit expensive but as far it's HALAL, it was good for me. Giodano's has made a dream come true a halal, deep dish, all meat pizza. What more could you ask for. We are not locals. We visited Chicago had it in Feb 2020 (first two pics) and then Jan 2022. I'm so glad my husband insisted on all meat. The 2022 trip was specifically just to eat the pizza because I was craving it. Between two people, it easily lasted us a couple of meals for this size Is it cheap? No. Is it worth it? Until someone else can compete, it'll be worth it. *This is apparently the only location (so far) with the halal option I believe.
Decent pizza (doesn’t compare to Lou malnati though however the guy taking orders at the counter (Salman? has a huge attitude problem. He’s doing everyone a favor buying pizza from him, as if he a higher being. Restricts halal pizza to large only which makes no sense. Needs to get off his high horse. If it wasn’t for the halal pizza I would have uturned without hesitation. In fact, I’m not going to bother going here again. Good riddance!
This was our first stop after getting off the plane in Chicago. We were welcomed so nicely and enjoyed our tables. The food was SPECTACULAR. the bathrooms were clean and the service pleasant. Mr. Syed is a wonderful owner and I hope to come back again soon. It will always be my first stop after coming to Chicago. What a wonderful start to our trip. Giordano’s Des Plaines has amazing Deep Dish Pizza and they offer halal options too. Their deep dish pizza was one of the best i had in Chicago, considering the halal options for deep dish. We tried Spaghetti meat balls as well which i think was a little bland. Overall a nice place for quick eat out. Their sitting area is bit smaller, so avoid rush timing if you wanna dine-in.
We are from michigan and came to chicago airport to pick up in-laws…. We are lucky to have Found this place which has halal options….The pizza is soo sooo good, you don’t need to order anything else…..I can go back to Chicago just for this pizza… the chicken tenders were good too
This was my first time experiencing Chicago deep dish pizza and was hoping it was going to be better. It was just OK. I had no issues with the service there, but maybe the pizza just wasn't for me. I can't really knock the place.
