Great place to go for lunch if you're looking for single slice pizzas. They have really nice workers and great service. I can always find seating here. They have a large inside eating area as well as an outdoor patio. In terms of taste however, their pizza flavors can be a hit or miss. The slices come out hot and crispy. Their homemade ranch is exceptional and is a must try paired with their pizzas. They have $10 lunch specials two slices and a drink or their combo meal (one slice, salad, and a drink) for the same price. The Brooklyn Bomber at Giovanni's was fantastic. The crust was consistently cooked, there were plenty of delicious toppings, and a hint of sweetness in the seasoning really set this pizza apart. The medium wings had the perfect balance of zing and tanginess. The ranch dressing had subtle hints of dill and pesto, which elevated it above the usual fare. The service at the counter was friendly and helpful when it came to navigating the menu and choosing a beer. So I really liked the pizza, however the quality is inconsistent. The first time we ordered it was great. The crust was good and toppings were flavorful. The second time ok but so slow. The third time was last weekend and the dough was undercooked and blah besides being not ready when promised. The service is slow and the three times we have ordered from them for pick up the app says the the food is ready but we end up waiting another 20 minutes or so. There is a large free parking lot in front with many outside and inside tables. A big group could meet here. Sadly I think we will find another pizza place.
We waited for 1.5 hours and they ended up telling us they weren't serving any more and that our order was cancelled. They seemed to have 2 on staff and they were both in training. It was terrible service and zero communication. I've been before, and when you get the food, it's delicious. The salads are great, daily specials, lots to choose from. Really bummed we didn't get to eat. Wondering why they couldn't tell us sooner than an hour and half that we weren't going to be served. Very disappointed.

This review is based on an experience I had on 11/7/21 and is not indicitive of my prior experiences at this Giovanni's location.I had ordered 2 new york sized pies from this location. When I arrived home I found that the pizza was not only poorly cut, it was not the size I had ordered. The pizzas were so much smaller than usual. The taste was fine. However it was not what I paid for. Prior experiences were rather positive, so this perhaps was just a fluke.
First time we were here it took longer to get someone to take our order than to get the pizza! All was forgiven with the first bite! The crust has the right amount of chewy. Next time we got the meatball pizza. Anyone that knows me knows I don't usually do meatballs but Mr. S loves them. These were the perfect texture (not little hard balls) and quite tasty. I might just be a meatball convert! Yum!
I recently discovered a thin crust, New York style pizza restaurant near Sac State that I never knew existed. I will definitely be returning, as the owner seemed friendly and the service was quick and helpful. I highly recommend getting a side of ranch with the lunch special, as it is a good value. The ambiance is low key, but the quality of the pizza is outstanding.
This is the pizza spot we go to when we want a good pizza. It's more expensive than most other places around, but the quality it noticeable. If you're a ranch person, there's is homemade and worth the extra they charge for it. They're fast to complete your order and it seems like they regularly have beer specials.

This restaurant serves the best homemade Ranch dressing ever! The pizza is delicious and we highly recommend stopping by to try it. You won't be disappointed if you love great pizza with a nice ambience.
The place is nice with open seating. Great quality of pizza but a bit expensive. Had a great overall experience.
