I am surprised to read some average reviews as we loved our meal there.It was lunch on a Sunday and we got in early to beat the rush..The food we had was absolutely delicious, pork belly and Aracini balls for entree plus barramundi and battered fish and chips mains... Hood serves, especially entree, and would recommend you give it a go. There are 3 restaurants in the Pier, might be more i am unsure, but of the 3 I am aware u can choose from any 3 of the menus in any of the restaurants. Handy if you both fancy a different cuisine on the day... I had not been for about 5 years as i had a scoopon or groupon deal that had expired by one day and they refused to honour it as it had expired, a bit...
We thought we would go there for dinner and use our Entertainment Book Voucher. I am glad that we didnt pay full price! Even after we were seated, other patrons who were seated after us were given water and drinks order taken whilst we sat there still waiting. Dont expect your meal to come out quickly either..... and when you get it, its pretty cold as the wait staff are more interested in talking amongst themselves or serving the other restaurant (Pantai). We were considering booking the Venue to host a 40th Birthday but soooo glad we didn't! Would I eat here again.. NO!
Recently ate here on a Sunday afternoon using a Scoopon deal, from the helpful staff handling the booking through to the meal and service everything was 100%. The food was freshly prepared, well presented and heaps of it, restaurant was clean and staff were quick with ordering food and drinks.The views pretty good here to, would be worth going at sunset.
Due to a mix up in the kitchen our entree did not arrive. The waiter was most apologetic and brought out the entree during our main. He also forgot to bring the wine.The food was ok for the nasi goreng but tasteless for the Pad Thai noodles.The place was not very busy and I can see why.The cost $71, was to dear for the quality. Been here a few times. This night I had the pulled pork burger in a brioche bun. Not a burger fan but my husband had it on an earlier occasion and raved about it..he wS right..it was delicious. Had a great server..Nicola, who was friendly and efficient.
Had a lovely meal overlooking the beach. Great service and tasty meal. Would definitely recommend and will most definitely be back for sure in the near future :)
Had a meal here tonight. Beautiful surroundings, right on the beach at Glenelg. Service was great but the food served was only passable -overcooked and dry.
