Now, let's talk about the food. The lobster bisque, priced at $22, was a bit on the small side, but it had high-quality chunks of lobster and the soup itself was delicious—just not very filling. The veal was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. We chose medium rare, which turned out to be an excellent choice; it was not overcooked and one of the better cuts of meat I've had in quite some time. You could easily cut it with your fork. The filet, although tender, was slightly overcooked. I would recommend asking for medium rare to achieve a nice medium center. Absolutely excellent! There were only two things I wasn't particularly fond of: the deviled eggs, which were just a bit unusual (not bad, just different), and one of the gluten-free cakes, although I suppose I should have expected that. I had the Thanksgiving buffet dinner, and it was outstanding with a fantastic variety and everything was well-prepared. I could have happily stayed with just the Caesar salad—it was a true classic, complete with anchovies on the side for those of us who appreciate them. The dinner started off promisingly with excellent appetizers and an enthusiastic sommelier. The bread, butter, and complimentary tartare were all delicious. However, things took a turn for the worse. After ordering a $300 bottle of wine, the sommelier disappeared and didn't check in to see if the wine was to our liking—although it was. Both entrees came out with overcooked proteins: the chicken was dry, and the beautiful elk tenderloin was more medium-well than medium-rare. We encountered at least three different waiters throughout the meal, and none seemed to communicate with each other. Needless to say, we opted to skip dessert. Poor management. We waited over 35 minutes for a reservation we made two months in advance. The hostess kept offering excuses for why we couldn't be seated, and when we asked to speak to the manager, she claimed they would cover our dessert. Absurd. Being on Forbes' 2021 list doesn't excuse a lack of punctuality. I really enjoy the brunch at this place. I’ve visited numerous times, and while it can be a bit pricey, the quality of the food, service, and location makes it well worth it. I often pair my visit with a hike in the mountains. They serve some of the best waffles I've ever had!
The food and ambiance here are outstanding. Cesar was incredibly attentive and kind, and his recommendations were spot on. I tried the elk dish for dinner, and I will certainly be coming back. Kudos to the chef!
The food is of the highest quality and the service is flawless. The location and view are absolutely stunning. If you value those aspects, the Sunday brunch here is definitely worth every cent.
