Goa Town is a small Indian restaurant located in calle Hernán de Carabeo. It is fairly small inside and has two ‘tables for two’ on the (narrow) street. Continuing my theme of ‘try something different’, I opted for lamb Hundi, described on the menu as ‘One of the great dishes of India. This is cooked with aromatic Indian spices, onions, tomatoes and peppers. It is served with a beautiful spicy sauce’. Sounded good. I opted for pilau rice. A couple of popadoms and various pots – chopped red onion, a spicy paste/sauce, a sweet chutney and some ‘green liquid’ – arrived fairly quickly to tide me over until the main meal. We have been to this restaurant several times over the last few years and it is consistently good. The choice of food and the service is outstanding. It is enjoyable eating in Goa Town and all the staff and smiling and there to help and advice on the menu. Children are always looked after well too. We will be back for another curry in April. This was the first time we have eaten here since it moved location. We sat on the terrace with friends. The food, wine and friendly staff were excellent. It was a first visit to Goa Town for them and they, like us ,will be back we booked for NYE , as we have done for the last 2 years. It’s worth venturing down Los Huertos for a visit.
Have been to this restaurant numerous times. The food is fantastic, the service is also great. I do feel the owners don’t seem to have the love for the restaurant anymore. The toilets are not that clean. The restaurant needs I good lick of paint. Maybe it’s just me being a little bit picky.
We were in Nerja for 5 days and had lunch at Goa twice, We chose vegetarian options and the food was delicious, service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended
