My last order was a disaster! The food was excellent as always, but the service was terrible. The dispatcher was in such a hurry when I placed my order that he took down my phone number incorrectly. The driver says he keyed my buzzer number 3 times to get in, yet no calls appeared recorded on my cellphone. I had to run after them to get my food! A restaurant that prides itself on good quality and has received multiple People's Choice Awards should provide better service. Bad Customer Service is Bad Business! I will have to look elsewhere if this happens again!
Yesterday (New Years Eve) my 86 year old Mother walked to the restaurant at 4:30 PM to get one combination plate to go. She was told they were too busy with takeout and delivery orders so were not accepting walk in customers even though there were 2 people sitting at a table eating. Her order would have been an egg roll, rice and 6 chicken balls. I guess they couldn't be bothered for only $7.50. I won't go back there and hopefully she won't either.
Don't know if the timing was right or what but the dinner we just picked up from Gold City seemed a lot fresher than most Chinese restaurants. The flavours kind of all blended together and seemed pretty neutral but the tenderness of the beef, pork, shrimp, and chicken was very enjoyable and a change from the average experienced elsewhere. Will be trying them again to see if they can maintain that tender bite.
Ridiculously Over-Priced: Pre-Covid, my usual order cost $21.00. In August, that went up to $31.00. I got the exact same order this week, and now it costs $38.00. Food is good.I ordered $170 worth of food and they charged me a $12 dollar delivery charge. All because I live on top of the hill. I have never been charged via other Chinese restaurants. So I will not be ordering again.
In my opinion the best Chinese food in Milton. It's always fresh and made to order. The only downside is front entrance which needs to be tidied a bit... feels cluttered with boxes everywhere.
Literally the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to the atmosphere was absolutely not sanitary and the food was literally disgusting.

Worst Chinese food in town, right next to Mr.Dumpling. What you really want is Empire Wok.
