Upcoming neighborhood bar. It has the feeling of the old diving bar, which makes for a cool mood. They are a pool table to entertain people, along with some other games on the back. They do not serve food, except for bagged chips and nuts. Your beer is also cheap. To feel with this neighborhood bar, the bar is located on a residential side street that I suspect would be the bar Grandfathered in, due to zoning laws. But it's kind of nice to have a neighborhood bar from the main tow. Overall, the place is worth the visit.
Founded in 1923, Gold Star bar is the epitome of a dive bar. No food, cheap beer, and all the dredges of society are in full view. They recently renovated the inside of the bar but kept the same hole in the wall feel. If you want $5 pitchers and a dark place to drink, THIS is your bar.
I love the fact that this place is 100 years old and still going strong! It's a charming bar with darts and pool. They also serve Screwball whiskey, which was delicious! My wife and I had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back.
One of the greatest dive bars of all time! Awesome bartenders and friendly patrons! My wife's grandpa drank here
