Tonight, we ordered a banquet from Golden Bay and it was absolutely perfect. It was our first time trying the chicken and sweetcorn soup from here, and it was amazing - there were actual pieces of chicken in the soup, which is not something you find at other places. Every dish was filled with high-quality ingredients. We have had banquets from local places before, but none have compared to the quality we experienced at Golden Bay. We will never go anywhere else now, as we wish we had discovered how incredible the food is here sooner. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Golden Bay, for a fantastic meal - it was money well spent.
New to area and stopped off here for lunchtime fish and chips, fresh and tasty and reasonable price for quality. Clean looking premises and friendly staff. Impressed by menu and so returned a couple nights later for a banquet special. Travelled home a few miles still hot, good portions and very tasty. Enjoyed every mouthful. Will be back!
I have been frequenting this restaurant for quite some time, whether passing through or in the area. This speaks volumes about the quality of the place. It is always bustling with customers ordering, which indicates that it is a popular spot for Chinese takeout. The food is consistently good.

Tonight was a let down, I had fish, chips, peas and gravy, the chips were hard, the fish was hard around the edges, the pease and gravy were very nice as always, didn't enjoy it.
The quality of the chips here can vary, but the staff are friendly. However, if you place a phone order, the service may be slow.
Best chippy to go to if ur on holiday the chips are lush and the chicken fried rice was delicious
