We went as a large group they were understaffed and struggled with the volume of orders. It was a frankly bizarre evening but in a so bad it’s funny kind of way. The drinks and food came out late very late we sat down at 7pm and didn’t get food until gone 9pm. We were starving! It all came out together on a trolly. Majority of it was cold at this point and he had no idea what was what. I ordered a vegetable korma and found a piece of chicken in it (I spat it out and didn’t eat anything else). My friend is vegan and there was butter in hers. Service was slow, waiter kept calling us m’lady and when we eventually went to pay he said we had to pay on one card or pay cash. Years ago when I first visited Margate, I came across a hidden gem Indian restaurant upon arriving late at night, and I’ve been dreaming about those flavours ever since. 5 years later I finally made it back here and pin this restaurant down. The chef is an old guy who has been cooking in that kitchen for decades. The waiter has been working there for more than ten years. Just like us, sometimes things don’t go as planned and they get distracted. But that is okay. We could all be a bit more forgiving. (If you’re in a hurry, I’d suggest to order ahead and collect at a set time. I will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and will definitely go back when I next visit Margate.
I have been hesitant to write this review. This restaurant in Cliftonville, Margate is the longest established with the same owner, head chef, stylized decor, and serves the best Indian food in the area. It truly makes this part of town cool. If you overlook the lifetime accomplishments of the owner, chef, and dedicated team who have made this place great, you may fall prey to passing trends and miss out on this hidden gem. I hope you will keep this secret to yourself.
Over 2 hours for delivery to arrive. Vile. Disgusting slop. Worst indian meal ever in our lifes. Disgraceful to take peoples money then give them prison food. Every single dish was disgusting. They even managed to ruin the papadoms.

DO NOT ORDER TAKE AWAY OVER THE PHONE. THEY TAKE YOUR CARD DETAILS AND USE THEM TO BUY SUBSCRIPTIONS ON APPLE DEVICES. Luckily my bank were vigilant and blocked most (not all) of these transactions.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. It was a disappointing takeout experience with poorly cooked pappadoms. It's a disgrace to charge people money for such bad quality food.
The restaurant was freezing cold, service took forever. We left with no food after an hour and a half as we were so cold and needed warmth!
The curry was delicious. I ordered a chicken dish and my husband had lamb, both were very tasty. The service was excellent.
