Golden Curry - Tisch resevieren

Been meaning to try Gooden Curry for years, usually eat/order at the Viceroy in Windsor. Finally tried a delivery from Golden Curry after a day of decorating and sadly, extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, I haven't even finished it yet as I felt compelled to leave a review. Onion bhaji's are very very dry, crumbly and flaking, like they have been cooked hours ago and kept warm/reheated. Mint sauce accompanying the popadoms is luminous green, akin to playdoh, doesn't look appetising, so I will bin that. The keema rice is pretty tasteless and also has luminous green rice thrown in, I'm seeing a pattern here. Lamb jalfrezi is totally bland and apparently devoid of spices or chi...

I went with a group of 7 people and was disappointed after reading other reviews. Our table was placed near the door, so every time it opened we felt cold and it disrupted our enjoyment. The layout should be reconsidered to include an outer door. The poppadoms were stale, not fresh, and the curry I ordered was served in a hot dish but the food was cold and had to be reheated, indicating it may have been microwaved. The overall food was bland, even the Naga dish I ordered wasn't very spicy. The only enjoyable aspect of the meal was the beers. Despite using a 2-for-1 offer for up to 6 people, we were still charged for the starter which was a let down as we had high expectations.

Hidden gem, worth the visit. Despite being packed, we decided to give it a shot. The server promptly seated us at a lovely table. We were impressed by the food quality, atmosphere, quick service, and delicious flavors (not watered down like some places). Overall, we felt welcomed and would highly recommend this restaurant over pricier Indian options. Food: 5 stars

I absolutely love this Indian family restaurant. The food is top-notch, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect. I highly recommend it.
