Picked this place through Google Maps and the ratings only! The two couples agreed to meet each other halfway between our respective homes. Although there wasn't anything exactly halfway, moving a little closer to them meant I ended up choosing the Golden Dragon. Never been here before and probably wouldn't just 'drop in' off the street. The street presentation is very ordinary to say the least. But inside, what a hub of noise and activity...totally booked out. You HAVE to reserve a seat. The roast duck and pork are always consistent in quality and flavour. Never once has the lively restaurant failed to impress me. Whenever I go to eat there by myself or with my family I am always greeted with a smile from all the staff. When you eat in, the portions are always generous and come fairly quick. It was a cold windy day and I was in a hurry to have lunch and return to work.Golden Dragon was celebrating being in business for a long time by having $8.50 special meals, I couldn't resist. I chose stir fried Lemon Grass and Chilli beef. The meal came quickly and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that despite the meal being a special, the presentation, quality and quantity was excellent. On a bed of rice, snow-peas were displayed in a flower arrangement with the beef, lemon grass in the centre, with fresh chopped chilli dotted around the rice contrasting with the green peas.The beef had a superb flavour of lemon grass with a hint of garlic and the chillies were a milder variety impart...
This restaurant offers good service and tasty food. They serve complimentary prawn crackers on arrival and oranges wedges at the end of your meal. I have eaten here on a few occasions and each time I have been slightly disappointed in the chicken dishes as the chicken has been quite fatty. They serve duck which is amazing (the other local asian restaurants don't have duck).I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are planning on conversing a lot with your friends. There are tvs in the restaurant which always have the volume too high and other patrons are often noisy.

Located placed nearly Epping Lalor , introduce by a friend , Asian cuisine, firstly the customer service is great , dining atmosphere not bad , secondly roaster duck not bad and tasty , the chicken yes definitely is awesome , not forget the dipping spicy sauce thumbs up , and lamb hot pot good good winter season . Overall thumbs up and price reasonable , cheers
Been ordering roast duck (main reason to give 4/5) to take away so often cuz I love it, the duck itself is moist, soft and tasty. Have tried some of the dishes here n it’s not too bad, more like 3/5 depending on whatever u ordered but the amount is huge. The service when eating in depends on how busy the shop is, but to take away is quicker.
I always come here for the roast duck and roast pork the quality is so consistent so thankful to have this gem in lalor I wouldn’t come here for good service but if you’re getting take away the service is super quick which is a bonus!
Hands down the best salt and pepper calimari we've had since being in Melbourne. Quality and taste is so consistent. Always a pleasure ordering from here. This is out go to for Chinese take out
