We were excited when it first opened but have witnessed a noticeable decline since the current owner took over. We’ve endured unfriendly service and even overbaked patties. In my effort to support my fellow Jamaicans, I initially brought up the issue of the overbaked patties in hopes of improvement, but to no avail.
I then thought I could still help by purchasing the patties frozen and baking them myself. Unfortunately, that experience was a disaster. The owner clumped all three dozen patties together, wrapping them in parchment paper, and stuffed them into an old Ziploc bag with a broken zipper, tossing everything into a shopping bag. The food is decent and perfect when you're craving Caribbean cuisine, but it won't impress on its own. One downside is the lack of visible prices—there aren't any displayed, not even online, and I can't recall seeing a physical menu. I had to jot down what I wanted before arriving. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience. We ordered the ox flour, curry chicken flour, and chicken patty (which was really good), along with some sides since I don't eat much meat. My husband thought the meat dishes were quite tasty. The Roti was excellent, too. We prefer chicken over goat. The restaurant is small, and the staff was friendly, reminiscent of a similar spot in Orlando.
We arrived at the restaurant at 9:30 in the morning, but were disappointed to find only two options on the menu. The food was quite unusual, and the service was quite cold. Additionally, they don’t offer complimentary water; we had to purchase bottled water instead. While that isn't a major issue, it’s something to keep in mind. I didn't want to have to deal with that, especially when my family is visiting from abroad. I hope our treatment wasn't influenced by our ethnicity, but I’m not optimistic about a better experience based on mere hope. In conclusion, I recommend avoiding this place, especially if you're perceived as lower on their internal hierarchy.
Pros: the food is not bad. It works if you're in the mood for Caribbean food but can't cook it yourself. Cons: there are no prices anywhere. Not even online. I don't remember seeing a menu but I had written down what I wanted at home. Overall I washappy. We ordered the oxtail meal, curry chicken meal, chicken patty (really good), and some sides because I don't eat muchmeat. My husband said the meat dishes were pretty good. The Roti is excellent. We preferred chicken over goat. It's a smallplace. The staff were friendly. Very similar to the Orlando restaurant.

Went into the empty store about 6:30pm, first time ever. No prices posted anywhere for any of the items. Asked the lady could I please have a menu and was rudely told she doesn 't do paper menus anymore. She said I have to go online for the menu. I said OK,where?, and she snaps look it up. After several minutes finding the GK website and putting in my location, found a generalmenu, still without prices. I told her this and she rattled off a list of items and prices much too fast to understand. Iordered nothing and will not be returning.

The food is incredible—I’m definitely coming back! The goat curry and bean rice are five-star dishes. I still need to return and try the oxtail everyone in my office keeps raving about.
Living in New Mexico this is our go-to for our Jamaican fix. And I'm blessed to be married to a Jamaican so he knows the best place to get the best food. ????????????

OMG, the food was soooo good. I had the stew peas and rice it was delicious. ????????????????And they feed ya too.. My to go plate was over flowing with goodness
