Golden Ocean Chinese

This is a well frequented Chinese restaurant but the food is hit and miss . There is a particular nasty generic brown sauce that seems to pervade in most dishes . There are good dishes but the decor needs addressing they could do so much...better and offer better Chinese food they need to modernise and not take the customer for granted. They are up against some really good food choices in Campbeltown Chinese food is a favourite of most British people so give us the best of it not what you imagine we like.

I like Chinese style food but our dinner here was very average to poor. The lack of veges eg carrots, beans, peas, broccoli etc was very disappointing. Our sweat and sour pork meat was very dry and overcooked. The chicken on the satay sticks appeared...to have been deep fried. I was not expecting fine dining but I would not recommend eating here even though it was busy with take away orders to locals. The two young ladies managing orders were very pleasant and efficient; which was the one highlight

The prices are fair, and the special and set menus offer great value for money.

I'm not local, but when I visit friends, we always go to eat here. we eat last time and ended after graduation. we have not been sworn to all employees to ensure that we enjoyed our meal first. we will have to eat here! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

The shark fin soup was too salty. I enjoyed dish number 69 on the menu. Our table had two legs that were longer than the others, causing the pancakes to roll. I would like to return to this restaurant.

First time years ago had fly come out of fried rice, it has got better food better for sit in meal the decor and heat not good take away good now

good Chinese place, the interior is really good, it's clean and food is really good. You can also pack your food.
