This is a great place to get a group together and enjoy Brest food! The restaurant is decorated in the traditional Chinese fashion. There is a lot to see and has a lot of interesting talking points. The food is very good and has a large variety to choose from! We have shared dishes just to try what someone else is having. I have never tried anything that I didn 't like! I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio but now I live in Texas. I was back home beginning of August 2023 at that time. My son had told me about the Golden Phoenix restaurant and the salt and pepper wings. I tried them I fell in love with them, I ate there at least three times while I was there in August. We were in the area and wanted to try some Chinese food here. When we walked in was pretty noisy as the bar was up front and people were enjoying themselves and it was also the area for pickup/takeout orders and the place to be seated for dine in. Don't let this detract you from eating here though. We got seated, and waited a bit, but our order was taken. Dinner came and was delicious (and pretty generous portions we even took some home). Prices were reasonable too. We'll be back next time we're close.
I was a big fan of the old China Phoenix before it changed hands and the taste of the food definitely went down. They had the best General So Chicken, with many other dishes to enjoy. I stopped eating Chinese food since. Long story short I was told to check this place out as a good replacement. Let's just say I didn't finish my meal. I don't like to waste food but this was horrible. I ordered fried rice that seemed like an afterthought and the chicken tasted like rubber.
Great garlic spicy chicken it's the best iv ever had. The drinks are good and they are strong. She seating is ok, if it's crowded it's a small wait but it's worth it. This is a nice laid back place with good food
The prices are great and the food is amazing. It's become my favorite Chinese place recently. The service is fast. The place needs a remodel and some deep cleaning especially in the bathroom.
