The word “basic” doesn’t need to be a verb for Good Day Cafe to be basicing all the way to the bank. I was at a morning event at the event space next door and popped in afterwards for a quick bite. The atmosphere and service are lovely. The food and prices are not. And I don’t mind paying a premium but I tend to expect a premium experience when I do the plate of smoked salmon Benedict with their version of home fries was, well, BASIC. It was the textbook definition of “fine.” Unassuming. Pedestrian. Hi hum. And sure, really, what should a person expect from breakfast, right? It’s just that this plate of Food plus 2 coffees put me out $30. No, really. With tip that’s a $35 dollar, basic forge...
This was not my first time to Good Day. In fact I've been to Good Day well over a hundred times, I'd estimate. It has excellent service food, as well as a wide variety of dishes for any appetite. This includes smoothies if you're so inclined. And lattes. And pastries if you come early enough! I usually go for the classics as I love the Huevos Rancheros, as well as the eggs Benedict. In addition, I'm a big fan of the omelettes here, as well. It can get loud, however, when it gets busy. Go early enjoy. Also, on the weekends, prepare for a wait if you get there after 830. But it's worth it.
The whole experience was fantastic. The ladies in charge on Saturday around 10:30 were very accommodating. They found us a large table for 12. That was wonderful.. The food was brought out in a very short period of time, that was so nice that we didn't have to sit there forever and wait. OUR WAITRESS was so sweet and she got every order perfect. Stood quietly at the hostess station for ten minutes while the bearded owner gave lengthy instructions to an employee. At no point was I acknowledged when I was finally helped not a word about thank you for waiting or even a greeting. This is a lovely place to get breakfast. I just wish that there were vegan/vegetarian options listed on the menu. I asked for the Huevos Rancheros with no eggs or dairy, and it was very tasty!Vegetarian options: Menu does not have vegetarian or vegan options labeled.
I walked up to counter, asked for table for two, the host sat me down, then came back and made me get up. Said there was a waiting list. How are you gonna sit me down and then make me get back up. Where do they do that at?
Very poor presentation. Food is literally slopped onto plates. Definitely feels like they are trying to get people in and out as fast as possible. Prices are high for portions and quality. 8$ for 3 sausage links.
Got seated pretty quickly, even when the parking lot looked full. Staff were all great! Food came out pretty quick as well. Food was awesome. Not 1 complaint from any of the 4 kiddos.(almost never happens. Lol) Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
