Very nice home style restaurant down the Jersey shore. Vegan options are well marked. We dined here during the summer of COVID, so only outdoor seating was available. We sat in the back, at a picnic table. Towards the end of the meal it got very dark and we were eaten alive by bugs. We ordered the flatbread and small plate of sunflower seed pesto pasta for appetizers. The flatbread was very good. I don’t think I’ve ever had vegan cheese like the cheese used on the bread. Very creamy and tasty. My husband and I agree that the best part of the meal was the pesto pasta. For an entree, I had the Thai peanut noodle. The noodles were made of black beans. It was quite gingery and very interesting....
we used doordash or ubereats (can not remember) to order from good earth organic eatery. order was easy to find as it vegan options. they have a vegan section on their menu and all Veg options are marked. we had a vegan Cheddar/Kartato soup, a vegan crab cake that comes on a bed of greens with a delicious dipping sauce that pesto penne pasta and the vegan cäsar salat. everything was delicious and we had some rest that was well heated the next day. there are not many easily accessible/affordable/good vegan options in kap may, according to my opinion, as I thought it would be. this place was our favorite during our trip and I recommend them to try them when they visit the opposite.
eating was fantastic. the pesto was delicious. I cost the hummus, veggie plate, suppe and salat and everything was excellent. I would say to ensure that they are giving themselves a good time, especially with a large group, because it looked like all foods were made fresh to order. everything on the menu was vegan, with taking out the fish dishes that was a little disappointing because without the fish it would be a simple 5 stars updated from the previous review on 2014-08-03
this place is amazing! the chef, contrano manages to give simple dishes from this world taste. we have come since 2013 and love comes back. we miss the old lunch menu favorites, such as the mixed meals and the pesto sandwich. there were two new great lunch options: the vegan meatballs in Bolonese sauce and the wild rice asparagus risotto. they also always have an excellent selection of kombucha. as others have said, this is not fast eating, but eating. appetizers were great and entrees were not good. service and chef were dissatisfied and not willing to make a substitution for a covet. the couple next to us also asked if they could simply not have a dirt of kartoffels and they were not willing to take it out! I was shocked because it is not cooked in the court.
A lovely Friday night dinner with a vegan Mac Cheese with a vegan Cesar salad for me and the seafood risotto for my partner. We ate outside at the dining space at the south end of the building. The food was delicious and hit the spot.
It's wonderful that this restaurant offers vegan options, but the meal was only okay. The crab cake and cauliflower steaks were just average, but the cauliflower soup was excellent. There are better vegan options in Cape May.

Would give 5 stars if it was allowed! The service here is great, super friendly staff, and the rotating selection of vegan options is one of the best in Cape May.
