This was my first ramen experience but not my friend’s first. If we lived in Calgary, this would be a place we would frequent. The atmosphere is a bit hipster, with anime cartoons being shown on the TVs. The spot is small but it adds to the atmosphere as a cool place for after work snacks and drinks. We started with edamame that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We ordered one miso ramen and one tonkotsu ramen and both added a smoked egg. I also added bean sprouts to mine, which added great crunch. We were both undecided on the egg but didn’t regret it. The ramen was delicious. The portion size was excellent and the broth was very tasty. Service was friendly and excellent. We really liked t...

This place isn't run by Japanese people, as you can tell they totally miss the point of the Tachigui bar. The Tachigui bar was introduced in Japan because of prime real estate and busy business men needing to have a quick lunch, so standing while eating get customers move through the restaurant quickly. Not the case with Goro and Gun, it took forever for the waitress/waiter to come around to take order for drinks, then food, like a typically Canadian restaurant. This would've been fine if the food was good, which wasn't. The tonkotsu soup base didn't taste like real tonkotsu, it was infused with msg. the lamb was not good either. If I had to pay $15.5 full price for this ramen I would have b...

Came here for a quick dinner. Service was prompt, and when we asked the waitress if a particular chicken dish (for the 6 year old) - we were told no it was not spicy. It came covered with chili oil - which created knock-on issues as the child did not want to eat anything else (despite her hunger.) Adults did enjoy their meals and drinks. It might have turned out differently if we had a better choice on opening course.

though it seems that the lunch menu is the same as or similar to the dinner menu we really looked at different options for lunch. As such I ordered the Sashimi Bento Box. It comes with a bowl of soup (miso,) a couple of pieces of roll (California,) a salad with Asian dressing, warm rice and 6 pieces of Sashimi (salmon, tuna and one other.) Service was fast, efficient and courteous. Great lunch Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I find it hard to find good Japanese restaurants in Alberta. this one is the best I've ever been to. Brought my rugby team here, and my family. Treated like royalty every time! The food is authentic and fresh - nothing but the best. Highly recommend this place! Ask to sit in Michelle's section. She's the bomb!

A good place to hangout and eat Japanese food after office hours. We always visit during the happy hour before 6PM to take advantage of their promos. Ambiance is good, servers are nice and their fried noodles sliders are unique! My favorite is still the ramen thou the serving size has gone a little smaller.

A little slow on service during busy lunch hours and a little pricey for ramen $(15 - call me old school,) it makes up for an amazing bowl of mushroom ramen (vegetarian option.) Portion size was right for me; perhaps would have been on the small side for my previous 20-something self.

I come to chill with girlfriends after work during happy hour. We always get the ramen burgers, though the shrimp, and the sushi, and in fact all the $5 appies (until 6pm) are absolutely delicious. And the ramen! Unpretentious. No patio however. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We went for dinner at 5:30 and were able to get a table no problem, but shortly after the place started to fill up pretty quickly. I had the Tonkosu ramen with extra pork
