We recently celebrated my husband's birthday here with 25 people. Everyone was amazed by the quality of the food, the beautiful flavours and the personal ambiance of the place. We had selected a variety of dishes from the menu, including samosas, beef goulash, pumpkin curry, bread varieties and vegetarian dishes. We finished the feast with home made apple crumble served with ice cream and cream. The value for money and the personal service leading up to the event were exemplary and although we knew the standard of the food, as we visit the restaurant regularly, we were blown away (and so were our guests) by the attention to detail on the night of the event. I had a fantastic experience enjoying a delicious Austrian Gulasch with Spätzle in Australia! The Styrian chef Joachim and his charming wife Laetitia from Tahiti make such a friendly couple! It was lovely to sit outside and savor their homemade Apple Crumble alongside a quality cup of Cappuccino. For breakfast, I highly recommend the Swiss Bircher Muesli and Poached Eggs with Avocado – they’re two of my favorites. The menu features a wide range of low-fat and gluten-free curries, healthy salads, and grilled fish. Plus, there are always lunch specials available for under $10. I particularly enjoyed the rich Pumpkin Soup paired with their homemade onion bread. I can’t wait to return soon!
We have been dining at Govender's for more than four years, and the quality and freshness of their food consistently impresses us. Their curry is one of our absolute favorites. We've brought friends and family along over the years, and they too have become regulars, drawn in by the fantastic flavors, taste, and affordability. Lovely family run cafe/restaurant. Better value than the cafes in the area and the food just tastes fresher. My favourite is the quality home style curries, fish and chips, chicken pasta, big breakfast and coffee. Always great sociable service.
A family business that delivers high quality food at very reasonable prices. The curries are very tasty and the breakfast is also worth trying. You won’t find better value in Joondalup. Support local family business.

Breakfast here is the best in joondalup. Generous serves and fair price. The coffee is good to. I always come here for dinner but now its my brekky spot.
