Grain de vanille is off the tourist trail in Cancale but is worth the trip just to have the Millefeuille. It's the best I've ever eaten and my family completely agree. It was still crispy a a few hours after purchase and the filling completely...delicious wished we ordered one each, instead of sharing. So good, that we came back the next day to have some more, but it was unfortunately closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
We ordered our log for Christmas by phone. We didn't have to wait too long to get her back on the day of the New Year's Eve. The queue was well organized with one side for orders already paid and one for those to be settled. The Menhir log was excellent, and very light, perfect to finish an already hearty meal. The shares are generous. We've been enjoying ourselves.
Mont Blanc is a fine and greedy dessert with meringue, whipped cream, vermicelles with browns on a crunchy sandy. A well autumn pastry to be enjoyed. I know the pastries and the pastries are irresistible. I have a small weakness for the millefeuille of exceptional lightness and the croissants that are for me the best I know. A nice discovery of Mexico's chocolates.
This is of course subjective but if you're into good coffee find somewhere else. I like Italian coffee and was very disappointed in the cappuccino. I read about this place before we came to Cancale and had to stop there for coffee. My true love is candy and pastries so I could not only decide on one. I tried 4 little cakes and they were all divine. Make sure the Mille Feuille, it was fantastic.
Ordering for Christmas... obliging to put a notice directly. Nothing to say, the chocolate pear tin, then the log emeralds a delight. light and full of flavors! It was perfect then quality price frankly nothing to say..
At every stay in Cancale, what a pleasure to enjoy with the superb patisseries and pastries of Vanilla Seed. Special Mention for the Cancale Rock, the pralined brioche and the Pommé

My husband had seen a spot on this bakery on television, so we sought it out. We were not disappointed! The caramels are to die for ... and the pastries were scrumptious.
