Grain de vanille is off the tourist trail in Cancale but is worth the trip just to have the Millefeuille. It's the best I've ever eaten and my family completely agree. It was still crispy a a few hours after purchase and the filling completely...delicious wished we ordered one each, instead of sharing. So good, that we came back the next day to have some more, but it was unfortunately closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is of course subjective but if you're into good coffee find somewhere else. I like Italian coffee and was very disappointed in the cappuccino. The milk froth was thin and poor and the coffee was really harsh tasting and watery. Too bad because the...food is really great!
I read about this place before we came to Cancale and had to stop there for coffee. My true love is candy and pastries so I could not only decide on one. I tried 4 little cakes and they were all divine. Make sure the Mille Feuille, it was fantastic.
For years I have been taking dessert in Vanilla Seed after the oysters on the port. It is a must-see place for the quality of its classic pastry and for the friendliness of the manager and waitresses. This place deserves displacement Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
At every stay in Cancale, what a pleasure to enjoy with the superb patisseries and pastries of Vanilla Seed. Special Mention for the Cancale Rock, the pralined brioche and the Pommé
if you can, try to go here. absolutely incredible bakery and cafe. a very memorable experience. we had a range of things, including some food souvenirs and all was delicious.
My husband had seen a spot on this bakery on television, so we sought it out. We were not disappointed! The caramels are to die for ... and the pastries were scrumptious.
