I ordered 2 bagels, one with tofu cream cheese and one with regular. When we opened them, it looked like the labels were switched. I asked at the register if they were sure they gave me the right one because I am allergic to dairy. They assured me, yes, it was tofu cream cheese. I was still feeling uneasy so I went to just pay for a new one where I could watch them make it and feel confident with what I was getting. The guy behind the counter argued with me why I would want to order a new one and refused to make a new one (even though I was going to pay for it! and vehemently assured me that he was correct. Well guess what, after I ate a quarter of the bagel, I was sure that they were WRONG....
Joke of a bagel joint, not special bagels or flavors and charged $5 for a single plain bagel with cream cheese. They display lower prices $1.50) but are flat out lying with their extra hidden fees charged for everything. Workers were extremely rude, spoke down degradingly as to humiliate me and seemed to enjoy my confusion. After, I could hear them ridiculing me in Spanish thinking I don’t understand.
The woman who is always at the cash register and answering the phone is likely the rudest person in NYC. I called in a midday order and politely asked if they could hurry it up because I was in line for a long time. Instead of helping, she just made it clear I shouldn’t have bothered calling. I used to visit this place at least three times a week, but I’ll never return.
Just discovered a gem in the heart of NYC — Gramercy Bagels. Bright, welcoming vibes, super friendly staff, and hands down one of the best bagel-and-coffee combos I’ve had in the city. Rude establishment, their food is pretty okay but the lady at the front, the cashier is just overall rude. The guy is the back who takes orders is snappy and makes you seem dumb when he correct you. I tend to stutter a lot bc of social anxiety and this establishment made my anxiety worse
The whole wheat bagel is delicious, though the cream cheese was spread a bit too generously. The jalapeno cream cheese was tasty, and their lattes are quite good as well. Next time, I’d like to try an avocado bagel.
We absolutely loved the bagels at this place. The service was quick, there was a fantastic variety, and it was impressive to see a continuous flow of customers coming into this popular bagel shop.
the prices were good, though it was an average bagel. i will try something new next time to see if it may just be what i ordered
