We came here with a large party of 24, split into 3 tables on Saturday. We ordered about 7pm and told them we had to be out of there by 8:30pm for a show. Appetizers and drinks came out fast but the main entrees were much slower. We did ask for food to be served as soon as it was ready but they ended up waiting for all mains to be ready and brought everything out together as we did see some dishes sitting in the kitchen and pizza area. We got the mains just a few minutes before 8pm and still had to do a cake and split receipts. Whether you want pizza or pasta, this is the place to come. And the Italians in Woodbridge know it, so don 't try to come on a Sunday unless you have reservations. Family style restaurant, the staff has been around for years. You don 't even have to specify what you want, they will fix you up if you want. And for a party of 10 or more, they know exactly what and how much to bring so everybody is satisfied. The pizza is made in a wood fired oven, and still the same pizza chef as many years ago. Decided to return to a restaurant I had frequented many times prior to Covid shut down. Well, after watching the series Chef's Table: Pizza, i suggested to my family lets dine at Gran Gusto. The server who greeted us was wonderful, selected a table and we ordered several types of Pizza. We started with an order of calamari which was adequate at best. At the end, it was un underwhelming meal as the pizzas and calamari were not what I had experienced years before and know they are capable of. Perhaps there have been changes and hence the results. Yesterday we came here for a birthday party and celebration with friends and family. We had our own private room which was decorated and made arrangements for a nice sitdown meal with approximately 35 people. Our food was excellent especially the antipasto for me. The pasta and chicken we’re extremely tasty and the guests loved it. The service was very very good as well. Thanks to the staff for making our gathering do enjoyable. By the way very good value for your money.
Gran Gusto is one of those hidden gems you sometimes stumble across. Came here w my wife and like to try independent places. Gran Gusti has that family run vibe. Our server Vic was extraordinary and all the staff was very nice. The food is outstanding. Been to Good Son, Little Italy etc and their pizza and rosemary bread rates w the best. Amazing value and fresh.
We went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and it was as good as usual. My pizza and calamari were excellent. My wife loved her pasta but we both thought that this time there was too much oil in the salad. Other than that this has always been one of favorites with great value for the money. Service was top notch with a very friendly staff. We will be returning.
Fantastic food. We had the rosemary bread as appetizer. So tasty! Then we shared the pizza with bacon and pepperoni and we added rapini. Plenty for two people. Muah!! We finished off with Tartufp and it was delicious. Our server, Vic was fantastic!41 Will come back and travel here from Brampton
Visited for Dinner, 6 people total and as soon as we got in, we felt the warmth not only from our server but the cook and owner that came by to check up on us constantly. We are Definitely going back. Food is amazing, great value, price reasonable (compared to other restaurants in Woodbridge).
Wonderful family restaurant with really excellent food. Everything we have tried has been fresh, delicious and plentiful. Quiet atmosphere but very welcoming. The serving staff are all attentive but not intrusive.
