It's been 3.5 years since this place opened. Bernardo is one for the record at running this place. His warm welcomes and treating everyone like family with a hug and kiss. This man always checks on the service as he does every table there and finishing the night with goodbyes. He has a wonderful staff that he trained well and all help each other out as a team should. Never have had a bad experience or food here.. I tip my hat and will always come back when I can and recommend this place to family friends and loved ones. They offer fantastic Italian dishes and seafood. Last night, for my birthday, I had the best steak I've ever tasted—a two-inch thick ribeye grilled to perfection that didn't even need a knife to cut. Even the sides, like garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, were elevated to excellence. The Caesar salad is absolutely to die for, and the mussels were, once again, the best I’ve ever had; I’ve tried them at many other restaurants, but none can compare.
The wine list is impressive, and the desserts are the perfect finishing touch, leaving you smiling with total joy. I can’t wait for our next visit. Island Park truly has a gem of a restaurant, and you will not be disappointed.
As for the food, it was simply outstanding! My chicken parmesan was beautifully prepared and exceeded all my expectations. I have no doubt that every dish here will quickly become a local favorite. If you live in Island Park, I highly recommend incorporating Gran Paradiso into your regular dining routine. And if you’re coming from farther away, don't hesitate to visit—I'm confident that after just one meal, you'll want to return, no matter the distance from Island Park.
Every time my wife and I visit this restaurant, the food and service are outstanding. The specials are consistently exceptional. If you haven't tried this place yet, make sure to put it at the top of your list!

Gran Paradiso is one of our favorite restaurants in the area! The food is always delicious! The restaurant is immaculate, the ambiance is great, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating!
My friends and I just went there today around 1pm. We were their only customers! The food was great as well as the wine, martinis cheesecake! I definitely recommend it highly.
Gran Paradiso is by far the best restaurant around for Italian food! The food is totally delicious and nice sized portions. The manager and waiters are the best!!!!
