We went to celebrate my birthday for a more up market meal than we were having in our caravan and on the lovely camp site just down the road. They were happy to accommodate us as non-residents, despite the restaurant being quite busy. Very friendly staff, two interesting set menus and good service. Starters were lovely, but the fillet of beef was a little underdone for my wife's liking. Having said that the waitress did say if it wasn't as she wanted then please let her know and she would have it cooked a little more. Our fault I suppose for not wanting to make a fuss. Given what we ate and the superb location we couldn't complain about the price. A lovely evening.
Dining by the Tarn is delightful. The terrace is a perfect spot but gets cold early even after a hot day. The amuse bouche..goats cheese, pesto and chapelure...was poor and unimaginative. Our gravedlax of trout was very nice as was the crime fraiche with it but there was way to much beetroot purée which threatened to dominate the dish. My guinea fowl was perfectly cooked and delicious as was my husband's tournedos, the accompanying vegetables were well cooked also. My husband chose a variant on tarte tatin which was tasty but it arrived and was eaten before my cheese was brought. The cheeses were good.
Travelling with 30 à Australians to visit the à Millau viaduct, we had arranged to stop in the Hotel de la Muse et du Rosier. What a find! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is right on the banks of the Tarn river. We chose not to eat at the restaurant and had a picnic on the banks of the river instead. This was not a problem as there were outdoor tables and chairs available. The staff were very nice, especially the gentleman on breakfast duty in the morning. We can highly recommend this hotel.
Really special delicate fine dining at this restaurant in a magnificent setting. Staff are very charming, professional and caring whilst food is utterly delicious and presented like a piece of art. Wine list was also stunning and exciting. There was a children’s menu, but it is very carefully considered and in keeping with everything else you won’t find burger and chips here! Compliments to the staff here for their dedication and general loveliness.
The hotel is very beautiful in a very interesting position overlooking the Tarn and with an elegant and agreeable architecture. The meal was in average good with a very little choice of dishes but as we went for dinner also the following evening, we found exactly the same very limited choice. The service was also made as if we should thank them for being there. The price of the food was average. The wine very exspensif.
Last came here back in 2017 and we had a lovely evening meal. This hotel has all the ingredients for great evening out. 1. Location Sits on the bank overlooking the river 2. The staff Always make you feel welcome 3. The food Always presented well and tastes delicious. Our visit last night ticked all 3 boxes. We will be returning for another memorable evening.
Just spent three nights at this hotel. Fantastic gourmet food at dinner time.good cocktails and friendly staff. Room nice but needs more shelving and storage space.bath not suitable for someone like my with that has leg problems. But lovely hotel,staff and good breakfast and the most superb dinner.
Best vegetarian food my husband has eaten since being in France and an excellent price for the quality of food. Meat and fish dishes also superb. Highly recommend making the drive if you are not staying there.
The restaurant is outstanding. Great presentation, creativity and flavor, but can be expensive! There are restaurants nearby, across the river and within walking distance, but why bother!
