Very disappointed in this restaurant. Went on a Friday night at 5:30 with a friend and my 6 year old. When we arrived there were maybe 2 tables occupied and the host asked if we had a reservation. We didn 't, but he was very nice and said that 's not a problem and showed us to a table. From there everything felt very rushed. The waitress at first seemed cordial but wasn 't very warm. Asked what we wanted to drink and threw down a basket of bread on the table. She told us the specials before even bringing us menus, which were a piece of printer paper. Went last night with a friend and her daughter who is 6, have been wanting to try this place for months, asked if we had a reservation which we didn’t but the gentleman was very nice and sat us. Was told the specials, ask if we could have separate checks as I planned on doing a take out order as well. Let 's start with the reservation process. Called Sunday night to book for the next Saturday. Was told to call back Monday at 10am and speak to reservationist. Called multiple times from 10a to noon, no answer. After noon, a machine answered and I left a message. This restaurant was a disaster from the beginning. We went there on a Saturday night with two guests and saw open tables, but were told they were fully booked and needed a reservation. We decided to give it another try the next night with more guests and a reservation. However, even with a reservation, our experience was still disappointing. I tried a new restaurant down the shore last week based on a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. A group of us tried the special artichoke hearts Francaise, salads, calamari, Sunday gravy with meats, and meatballs, and everything was delicious. We ordered two bottles of wine, one for the appetizers and one for the entrees, and thoroughly enjoyed both. Making reservations was a smart move, as the restaurant was busy all night. you need a reservation!! The restaurant is next to a liquor store and you can BYOB. I got the special flounder franchise and it was extremely delicious. The dining partner got spaghetti and meatball with one large. very delicious meatball. All desserts are made in house and I got the tiramisu. It was an excellent meal. absolutely worth it.
Used to come here all the time pre child. Food is great, service is great. Called the other night asking about reservations for 2 adults and an infant. They asked the age of the child and when told, they stated we are not kid friendly and hung up. Pretty disappointed.
My experience dining at this restaurant during restaurant week was excellent. Despite its small size, it had a wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive. I can't wait to dine there again in the future.
