Meir, the owner, is always available to answer health-related questions and is a wealth of knowledge on all things organic and healthy. The staff is incredible, handpicked by Meir and his wife Marla. Special shoutouts to Becky, Francis, Pauline, Melissa, Natalie, Gus, Ricky, and anyone else I may have forgotten. And a big thank you to new hires Isaac and Riley. I agree with the negative experiences reported by others about Grassroots. The middle-aged female owner has been rude to me and even seen throwing money at customers. I had been avoiding her, but after a recent upsetting interaction, I have decided to never return. I have also experienced indigestion from improperly combined menu items. Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and even Sprouts are friendlier and more affordable options. I recommend avoiding Grassroots and choosing a different dining option for you and your family.
This place is a gem. So many delicious foods and drinks to find here. Very friendly and energetic staff are welcoming and helpful. Edit: I would love to see more low-waste practices here. Like opting for paper packaging instead of plastic and not taping the receipt on every order. I love to order from the kitchen here, but feel wasteful. A compost bin would be awesome too.
This charming restaurant offers some unique items that you won't find elsewhere. However, I did feel that the prices were a bit high. This was also the first time I've encountered a food establishment that asked me to enter my tip amount on a screen. It was a bit confusing at first, as I didn't expect that from a restaurant.
This is a fantastic family-owned grocery and health food store. While the prices may be a little high, they offer unique items such as specialty nuts, chocolates, and Vegan cheese alternatives that are hard to find elsewhere.
I popped in for a snack and they delivered. They had a large selection of kombucha and the gentleman working the register was more than happy to talk over the different brands and make suggestions. 100% will return
