A very good spa day but nothing to do with the actual spa. The staff at the pool Tony and Matt were lovely; very kind and attentive, they provided excellent service and are really good at their jobs. The pool area is beautiful and luckily the weather was hot so it felt like a holiday. The hotel receptionist whose name I didn't get but had lovely eye make up and an Australian/NZ accent was great, super friendly and genuine. The spa experience was very underwhelming. The therapist doing my treatments appeared to be in a bad mood until my treatments were over. She made no conversation with me on the walk over to the spa and when I tried to talk to her she didn't respond. I had a 55 minute massa...

Visited Great Fosters for an afternoon tea. Welcomed at the door and shown to the very homely afternoon room. We were shown to the last table available, which denotes its popularity. Made our choice of hot drink and then delighted in a glass of champagne as our beautifully arrayed tea tower was put before us. Sandwiches, scones, patisseries all perfect. The icing on the cake was a gentle stroll around the amazing gardens. Knott gardens, Saxon moats, sunken tea Garden, rustic arched wooden Bridge over reflective water. You need to see it in person to appreciate what dedication and love has been spent on this place. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet,...

What a hotel ,16th century Manor House, we were told it was Henry Viii hunting lodge. Rear gardens are beautifully laid out, with a moat. The wooden bridge covered in wisteria looks amazing. We ate in the The Tudor Pass what an experience, 7 course food festival. Chefs come out on each course to explain the dishes which was a nice touch. The food was amazing . Drinks were not expensive. There's a spa and swimming pool. It is a pricey but I think you get what you pay for Staff were attentive and polite, nothing to much trouble. A definite special occasion hotel, you won't be disappointed.

Starting with the very warm helpful front staff. Specially Kazi helped us throughout from the beginning to end . Helped my handicapped mother to get inside the Hotel, to find the ladies also get in the car at the end . Bless him. Excellent garden views. Other staffs were all very pleasant too. We used to live on this road and stayed at the hotel for a week for the Hampton Court Flower Show and to visit old haunts and friends before. This time was for the afternoon tea . It was little slow service but enjoyed. Service: 4 Location: 5 Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Wow! Stayed here many times over the years and Great Fosters keeps getting better and better. The rooms, the service and the building are just amazing. We had just come from a tour around France visiting the chateaux and gardens in the Loire, but the gardens and building here are in the same league. If you want a unique hotel experience that’s convenient to both Heathrow and Windsor, forget the boring Marriott and other chains make sure you check out Great Fosters!

Quite simply...stunning. An imposing Elizabethan lodge which has been sympathetically extended to produce a wonderful mid sized country house hotel. The heated outdoor pool gives you childhood nostalgia (in a good way) and the sprawling formal gardens ebb away the stresses of every day life. Attentive service in the restaurants and a lovely vibe in the cocktail lounge. The latest edition to the Alexander House Hotel portfolio takes it from strength to strength.

Stunning hotel! We had afternoon tea, then spent a few minutes walking around the grounds. It was fun spotting the pieces of artwork everywhere. The afternoon tea was wonderful. We only stayed one night, but the service both at the hotel and the restaurant was amazingly friendly and prompt. The bed was, unfortunately, sloped quite dramatically back towards the pillows so we ended up sleeping ‘upside down’. It’s a very old hotel, so we understand.

Amazing venue and everyone should experience it. However rooms old and dated (partly excusable as built in 1500). Not excusable was distinctly average (being kind) food in main restaurant and entry level staff in all areas. Of the dozen or so staff interacted with only 3 or 4 were of an acceptable level of competence. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Spent a long weekend with family. One of the best stays we have had in the UK. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. The hotel is amazing, the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi are great for nearly any weather, and the gardens are breathtaking. Short drive from London. Can't wait to go back.
