Great Lakes Bloomfield Coffee

I've had two disappointing visits lately at the Maple. It seems the focus on quality and service has gone downhill compared to a few years ago. There was only one barista on duty and it was decently busy on a Saturday around lunchtime. My pour over (a Colombia) took almost fifteen minutes for the female barista to make on her own, in between other orders for other customers. Which included her going out of order, meaning she was helping other customers and grabbing their orders before mine was done/finished. The pour over itself was decent, but in the midst of her harriedness, I saw she was making mistakes making the pour over (she let the grounds go completely dry, then filled it up again)...

don't come here unless they want to be treated badly by their rude manager! I felt mentally abused to say that the manager came to me and my friend and harassed us about leaving because we did not disturb the work on our computer for them or someone else! I have come here for months; my friends and family are included, I don't see myself or my friends come back here after we've been treated!

Located inside the same building as the theater. I love that they offer lavender as a flavor. Got the chai tea with lavender, which was delicious and flavor was mild and not over powering. A bit pricey but worth it alone for the lavender.

Good coffee, in a cozy atmosphere, for a great price. Plus, you can get food from the Maple Kitchen. What more could you want?! Love the fireplace. I got a yummy chai latte for $4.75.
