I’ve been here many times before and I’ve always had lovely food. This was my birthday treat, so I was looking forward to it. However sadly, this time, the service food was not up to its usual standard. We were greeted by a rather unfriendly sullen waitress and led to our pre booked table. I ordered Hunters chicken. The chicken breast was minuscule and overcooked and the chips were scarce. My daughter’s food (fish and chips) was better huge fish , chips not great. We then ordered desserts , 35 minutes later they still hadn’t arrived. I asked the waiter and 10 minutes later the desserts arrived. The pub wasn’t full, so not sure what the issue was, but a 45 minute wait for 2 desserts is ridicu...
the personal was very pleasant and helpful, the main meal (screamed halloumi, which we had both was very tasty (sweet were also good and almost all were suitable for vegetarian and marked accordingly excellent . the same could not be said for the main courses where the number of suitable vegetarian meal was very limited and was the only real after part of our visit. the guests were good throughout the restaurant (social distancing.) I am not sure which purpose it is to pump music into the parking lot, but is different from sound pollution? the background music in the restaurant was merciful quiet (if unnecessary).
Went today with two friends, we all had traditional Sunday roast dinner. Service was good and friendly but the food was just not hot enough (all three meals) when it arrived at the table. This is basic stuff, someone obviously not paying attention in the kitchen. Also the sticky toffee pudding came with a tiny dollop of ice cream and cream, just not in proportion. I will eat here again, as the food is good, but for what you are charging customers, more attention is needed on the basic things. Johnn
I took mum and dance (both have several impediments) for lunch on Monday, eating was a good quality and a good price. the personal was great, nathan, rob and kelly took care of us, nothing was for many problems. we have decided to make it a regular thing as they enjoyed it so much. the place was clean and well furnished. definitiw recommend to all.

The staff were great, Nathan, Rob and Kelly took care of us, nothing was to much trouble. We have decided to make it a regular thing as they enjoyed it so much. The place was clean and well decorated. Definitely recommend to all.
Fantastic service, beautiful venue, and the food was delicious. Me and my wife shared the chicken and ham hock pie with mash and the steak and ale pie with chips. The pies were incredible. We then finished our meal with the salted caramel sundae which again was delicious. I would highly recommend eating here!
Celebrated a birthday here with around 16 guests and the staff here were so accommodating. The staff who looked after us (Rob, Sophie and Nathan) were amazing and even gave us a doggy bag for the leftover steak we had. Would very much recommend coming here for birthdays or big dinner!!
Grandiose building with a decorative interior. Beer is usually good (didn't have a drink today though! Had lunch which was nice except that my wife's mushy peas were cold. Good size place for families with lots of outdoor space
The food was lovely but staff took orders but had to wait and remind them as some tables came in after us but were nearly finished their meals before we got ours but did give 25%of the bill as apology
