Some dishes at Greek Tycoon are superior to those popular Greek restaurants on the Danforth, I think. I have been a big fan of Greek Tycoon for a few years, and have had their food several times, eat in, take out, delivery ... whenever the craving hits! This time, we ordered (Uber delivery. Dine in is currently closed) Chicken Souvlaki (with rice and potato, small Greek salad) Greek Salad (large) Spanakopita Calamari fries I always order their Greek Salad. I have two separate experiences with this restaurant. One being off of Uber, and the other being dining in. Uber: At the time, Uber had a buy 1 get 1 promo for their souvlakis, spanakopita, and some other things. The food is delicious. Simply delicious. The tzatziki being the subpar part, everything else was delicious. Obviously with Uber, the food isn't as fresh, but I reheated the spanakopita in the air fryer, and the chicken souvlaki in the over. The chicken was tender and delicious, the spanakopita was flaky, and filled with spinach and goodness. Loved it. Almost too much lol. I ordered a couple of items from the menu that I was told were no longer available. The manager suggested I get the lamb chops cooked medium, so I decided to try them. Absolutely delicious! Quite possibly the best lamb I've ever had. My wife doesn't eat lamb, but when she tried some of mine, she agreed it was delicious! The saganaki was great and the bread was also very good; much better than the bread served at chain Greek restaurants. The sides were also top quality and cooked perfectly. The chicken souvlaki was also very good. The Cauliflower steak was meh. I guess not their specialty. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant!
Experience the care and passion of a family run business. the food is great. the prices are reasonable. but almost every restaurant can say that. What you get at Greek Tycoon is the care and attention only a family run business can give you. If you've never experienced that then you have no idea what you are missing. and if you are sick of chains that have to train their staff to treat you properly, this is the place to go!
Just had our pork slovaki dinner delivered it is disappointing. The rice potatoes are mushy....I mean mushy mushy. Salad dressing has no flavor except mainly oil. We had the same orders before, but this time, the food is greatly below expectations. Overall, it was a bad meal. Sorry, you have lost us as future customers.
What a great place. You'll never get thirsty as they are so fast to refill your glass. The souvlaki is great. The atmosphere is great. Friendly service. What else can be said. The saginaki! Try it.
Really delicious Greek food. From the meat to the veggies to the feta it was all amazing. The service was great. They even had options for the kids. It's a classy Greek place.
Love this local family owned restaurant in Whitby. Anytime I'm in the mood for Greek, this is my go to restaurant. Highly recommend the Tycoon Chicken.
