Came in to try the steak burger with chips, onion rings and coleslaw. Firstly and most importantly everything was clearly fresh. Chips were hand cut, onion rings nicely fried and the coleslaw homemade. The burger had a crispy bun which stood up to the beef patty and was accompanied by a tangy relish. Service was friendly and efficient and clearly the whole family are invested in the success of the business. The only small thing I would change is to not put rocket in the burger, it wilts and offers less texture than say regular iceberg lettuce. Other than that I would highly recommend and will be back to try the Mauritian beef curry. Please support them as a locally run family business!
I had an island breakfast and it was AMAZING it was the tastiest thing I have ever had!!I HIGHLY recommend it! It was full of flavours!! It's the perfect place to bring your family to enjoy yourselves.Its the MOST relaxing place you could go to eat food and they are all soo helpful and cheerful.They always have a happy attitude towards me. If you haven't been to Green Island,then I highly suggest that you go as soon as you can!! It will be the best food you have ever tried no matter what food you order it's always perfect! So if you haven't been there then you should definitely go there!!
Great service, friendly staff. A gem hidden in plain sight. Went in for a coffee with kids but decided to try some food as it looked interesting. Unfortunately didn 't have in what I 'd ordered so the owner said they 'd make up a curried version. It was fantastic. Flavourful and great value. Better than most evening restaurants. I feel they should advertise their 'house ' dishes more as they 're really interesting and different from anything else in Huddersfield (cakes and burgers). Will definitely return.
Just had a full vegetarian breakfast with latte Chai coffee. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. Toast, two eggs, hash browns, mushrooms and tomatoes. Wish they had vegetarian sausages! Good portion size. The chai coffee was gorgeous had a really nice and fragrant flavour.The host were attentive, warm and friendly. Great environment. Nice and Clean a lovely place to eat Will definitely go again

Myself and my sisters always went to the old place and was really pleased to see it had opened up on the precinct we had a beautiful Mauritian curry yesterday and the owners are a lovely family, anything we have had there has always been lovely not to mention the lovely Bailey's cheesecake I took home with me
I dived a coffee with my daughter who tried to taste the Mauritian-Rind-Curry. now I have eaten a lot of curries and must say that this was honestly one of the most tasty I had ever eaten! nicely cooked and a wonderful friendly family, which is an absolute jewel of an ortes!
I had an incredible full English breakfast, which is surprisingly hard to find in this city on a Sunday morning, along with a lovely cup of tea. I believe I've just discovered my new favorite spot for dinner in Huddersfield!
This charming little family café has a lovely atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. They serve beer as well, but I’m currently enjoying their hazelnut option.
