It had been a while since our last visit to Green Street Tavern, and on a whim, I made a reservation for two before heading to an event in West Pasadena. Our dinner was fantastic. The menu featured a variety of options, and we were not disappointed with our choices. We started with a pear salad, which was a nice touch as the kitchen had already split it for us. My husband enjoyed the elevated meatloaf, which he couldn't stop raving about, while I indulged in a delicious lamb tagine that I can't wait to try to replicate at home. Overall it is an ripped off experience for their VALENTINE day. They didn't offer their regular menu instead of forcing you to have their prefix menu which were expensive, subpar food.. The best thing is they would squeeze your table of just few inches away with each other, so no privacy and you can image what will be your experience of trying to get a date with your loved on in this special occassion.. Me and my hubby just listened to all conversation of the couple that were sitting next to us so it ended up me and my hubby just didn't even talk to each other during the dinning there.. that was so bad...
we were not even in green street tavern and on a laune I booked two before a event in west pasadena. the dinner was fantastic. the menu offered something for everyone, and eating was not disappointed. we share a pear salad (and it is so a pleasure when the kitchen divides the salat) and my man had (lifted) meat loaf that he raved, and I had a delicious lamb tagine that I try to replicate at home. we filled it with a delicious apple dessert. the restaurant is casual and comfortable, the waitress was friendly, helpful, but not deceitful, and the owner came by and brought himself back. we will return soon.
This is one of the best places I know for detailed or negotiating lunches that I often require. A quiet atmosphere is essential for us to have discussions and analyses, and there's plenty of space for papers and other materials. The staff is excellent during lunch—efficient and unobtrusive. This has become my go-to spot for business lunches that are truly productive.

this is one of the best places that I eat for the type of detail-specific or negotiated lunch that I often need. quiet is important so that we can talk and analyze, and there is space for the papers, etc. the personal is great too midday and efficient and not intrusive. this is my place for business dinners that make lunch.
Wonderful food and exceptional service! The portions were quite large for the price and my sister and I were sharing dishes so it was perfect. The Brussel Sprouts were extremely flavorful as was the lamb tagine. All of our servers were very quick even though it was a busy night in the restaurant.
Every time we visit Pasadena, we search out good restaurants. We read the reviews for Green Street Tavern, which were very positive, and we were not disappointed. The menu was varied, and I enjoyed the lamb and couscous. It was clearly a from-scratch menu! We would definitely visit again.
The Valentine's Day pre-fixe food was excellent but we were hoping to be able to order from the regular menu also.
