This family-friendly hotel is open to the community café every Friday morning and offers a gathering place for locals and anyone looking for a delicious treat. The menu features sweet and savory breakfast options, various Greek-inspired brunch choices (the spinach pie is wonderful), sweet and savory pastries (smoked salmon and cream cheese or fresh fruit salad, Greek yogurt with honey and nuts), etc. There is also a selection of homemade cakes, brownies, and flapjacks. Locally roasted coffee beans, fine teas, and hot chocolate are all sourced locally. Additionally, many of the other ingredients are imported by café owners Yiannis and Jill from their own Greek olive groves and local Greek hon...
Only recently found out about this cafe and when I saw that it had a Greek influence i thought it would be a good stop on my bike ride today. As expected, the coffee was really nice. I had the fruit bread toast and jam with it which was a perfect accompaniment. Its great that, as a cyclist, we can use a room ideally furnished for us and dog walkers rather than mess up the soft furnishings of the main room. Also it is great that we can keep an eye on our bikes from the cafe and patio, not that they can be seen from the lane nearby anyway. Prices for everything on the menu were very keen considering the excellent quality. A good find!
This cafe has such a lovely feel, which is all down to the family who run it. As soon as you sit down you’re provided with glasses and a jug of water a thoughtful touch. The coffee is great, I especially like their Greek version of iced coffee, yum! The kids love it there too, a big basket of duplo keeps them entertained… they also love the homemade sausage rolls, and brownies!
We are fortunate to have such a fantastic cafe right on our doorstep. Once again, we enjoyed excellent coffee at GreenGold cafe this morning, along with some amazing Greek olive oil and honey to bring home. The staff were friendly and accommodating, as always.
