If you're looking for your next favourite local speciality coffee house, then congratulations, you have found it. A friend introduced me to this place a couple of months ago and I am consistently served amazing, complex and exciting coffee by really friendly and knowledgeable staff who really do know their stuff. They are legitimately happy to talk coffee all day long and it is a simply delightful piece of modern coffee culture to have in Nottingham. As a result, if you do prefer a place that serves coffee more like a traditional consumer-coffee flavour-profile, then the flavours here may take some getting used to, as many of the guest blends are quite dynamic. I have been a regular at Green Hood since it first opened, but I am disappointed with the recent changes. The coffee and customer service have always been fantastic, but the new seating arrangement after the refurbishment makes it feel like an upscale fast food place. They no longer display magazines due to theft, which is understandable, but it was part of the cozy atmosphere. The variety of cakes and bagels has been reduced to just buns, which I have found to be bland and undercooked. Despite enjoying the coffee and friendly staff, I will be looking for other cafes in Beeston that offer a similar level of service but also have a wider food selection and a more inviting atmosphere to enjoy.
I went for a quick flat white and hot chocolate on a busy Saturday(takeaway) The vibe is a lovely relaxed atmosphere if you want to meet your friends. I’ve seen reviews where people are moaning about no food. There is a selection but moral of the story is there a coffee shop not a cake shop. Most amazing flat white I’ve EVER had. My partner really enjoyed her hot chocolate! The guy who made the drinks engaged in a conversation with all customers and ALL staff was lovely and friendly. Next time I’m in Beeston on a market I will 110% be going here. Highly recommend this coffee shop. Thanks for a great experience!
I used to really enjoy coming here; it was always my first choice for coffee. They had the most incredible almond and butter croissants and other fabulous cakes! Have to agree with another reviewer in that it now has a very 'fast food joint ' look to it and the only cakes available were 'buns '; the one I had wasn 't cooked through. I didn 't eat it all. I didn 't complain either (short on time) so I 've no idea how they would have rectified it. The coffee and service was good though, hence 3 stars. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Discovered this gem a while back and trust me there is nowhere better for coffee and a danish. Rory is brilliant, super friendly and his at the window service throughout COVID was perfect. Must try the chai lattes, theyre miles better than the big chains and taste like christmas in a cup! will always be coming here :
Great coffee as always.. cakes made onsite.. really nice too. Staff were great and knew thier stuff. Speaking to Rory the owner had a taste of some rather interesting coffee I would never have tried as a result . Worth a visit ..
This coffee shop is a cozy and intimate spot with excellent coffee. Their vegan buns are amazing and a real treat. It's a great place to meet up with friends or enjoy some peace on your own. Thank you!

I have tried the best coffees at Greenhood. It is definitely the top coffee house in the area. Be sure to try one of their pour overs.
