Absolutely loved my time at Restaurant Grenadine. The restaurant itself is compact, providing a cosy, intimate dining experience. From the entrance, you are greeted with a view into an efficient kitchen hard at work. My party contained a few members with complicated dietary restrictions. We reserved a table, let the restaurant know ahead of time we might be challenging and how. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. We reserved a table for two and the experience was so delightful that I kinda wish I had made a bigger reservation so I could have invited some friends! The ambiance is warm enough to relax and really enjoy the evening, the place was quite busy but that didn't take anything away from the service! We decided that we would try the five course tasting menu because everything sounded quite appealing and the price was more than reasonable. I hate worrying about the bill after a quality gastronomic experience, not the case at all here. It's rare that I leave a restaurant already anticipating my next visit. From the superb cuisine to the impeccable and friendly service, this tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a feast for the senses. Before we went, we had decided to get the six course surprise tasting menu with some trepidation, since a few in our group had allergies/dietary requirements. There was absolutely no need for concern, as our wonderful waitress immediately asked us a series of questions to ensure our meals would suit our particularly tastes and requirements. Nous avons été manger au restaurant Grenadine pour notre anniversaire de mariage et avons profité des Francofolies pas très loin toute la journée et toute la soirée. Ce fut une journée magnifique!Nous avons choisi une cuisse de pintade braisée et un rouleau de cerf braisé avec un bon St-Émilion que nous avons apporté. C'était divin dans une ambiance traquille avec une belle musique, quelques vieilles chansons en français pas trop fortes pour nous empêcher de parler. Enfin, une ambiance pas bruyante comme dans certains restaurants.
J'ai été à ce resto pendant Le Festival de jazz de Montréal. Le menu offrait des plats différents des restos habituels avec une cuisine du marché, cuisine bistro (lapin, cerf, poisson,et plat végétarien). En apportant son vin, la facture est plus intéressante. Les goûts étaient recherchés, très en accord. Les portions étaient généreuses. Le seul point négatif, les plats étaient froids. Je vais y retourner.
