We had been warned off the Capri but went anyway and enjoyed it. It has a Michelin star and 17 with Gault-Millau and produces good food in fine surroundings. It was a good last meal of a memorable holiday when the sun shone for six days and the snow was excellent.We were warmly welcomed although the restaurant was quite empty although it filled up a bit later. We had very fine grissini and an excellent assortment of rolls.The food was good. I had a crusty boiled egg with a truffle sauce followed by spaghetti in a very good creamy cheese sauce. It was cooked al dente and was excellent. My friends had equally good food, especiall the desserts.For my dessert I had a lovely chocolate confection....
This place is great if you don't mind: - be served by arrogant waiters - wait for your meal for more than an hour and still not get it - receive annoyed explanations on why the order being so terribly delayed - when you give upon the idea of getting your food, you will still get a bill for all unserved dishes (which you can ignore as we did) - get no apology for this frustration of a serviceTips and hints for possible visitors: Go elsewhere. Zermatt is full of better and friendlier places.Tips and hints for Le cervin: You are kindly requested to realize that the very point of your existence is to feed your customers and provide them with service. Ein Abend, den wir nicht so schnell vergessen werden.Sehr professioneller Service, dank italienischem Charme weder verkrampft noch steif.Die Karte ist so gestaltet, dass sie für Familien, Paare und Business alles bietet. Bitte nicht ein super hochgestochenes Sternerestaurant erwarten sondern einfach super Essen mit einem Service aus Leidenschaft geniessen und einen schönen Tag an der Capri Bar ausklingen lassen. Wir kommen wieder!
Preis-/Leistung war an diesem Abend für uns nicht im Lot Das Amuse-Bouche schmeckte uns beiden nicht wirklich, der Fisch war fade und nicht zart, das Carpaccio e tartare di Fassone überzeugte leider auch nicht. Für unseren Geschmack schon fast zu viel Personal, kaum fertig schon weg mit dem Teller. Sehr nettes Personal, aber nur der Chef sprach deutsch...Alles in allem waren wir entäuscht Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
As hotel guests we were given a table close to the fire-chimney which made us feel hot and not really comfortable - all other tables apparently being booked. An hour later at around 21.30 still some of those roughly 15 tables were free. The day after when questioning the management was complaining about "all those no shows" ... Fortunately though the service and the food was excellent!
Wenn Sie ein Restaurant kommentieren, haben Sie manchmal das Gefühl, dass die Hardware in Ordnung ist, die Software jedoch nicht. Nun, hier ist es sicherlich umgekehrt. Was für ein anonymer Ort, an dem man sich in die 60er Jahre zurückversetzt fühlt! Überraschenderweise ist der Service jedoch außergewöhnlich, ebenso wie das Essen (aber immer noch von den 17 Gault-Punkten).
During a recent stay at Mont Cervin Palace, I had the pleasure of dining at the Grill one evening. The food was fantastic and service was polished yet friendly. Definitely consider an option from the charcoal grill for your entree. I chose the rack of lamb special, which was by far the best lamb dish I ever ate!
Wir haben etwas wirklich Herausragendes erwartet (17 in G-M und ein Michelin-Stern), bekamen aber im Gegenteil sehr schlechtes Essen zu einem hohen Preis! Auch der Service ist wirklich nicht auf dem Niveau der Kellner, die viele Fehler gemacht haben (z. B. das Hinzufügen von Rotwein in einem Glas Weißwein!) Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Saturday evening dinner was excellent. The food, wine and (in particular) the service was all first class. Particular mention goes to the restaurant manager (see picture) and the Swiss aged fillet steak, which has to be one of the tastiest any in the world! The Sion Pinot Noir was also good.
