I came here for a quick lunch. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with hot sauce in the combo meal which included fries and a salad. Everything is very tasty and a good lunch choice for a quick meal. Very casual looking restaurant which is busy during lunch hours. Everything was honestly good quality. The only thing I would change is have the chef wear gloves when handling salad. It really bothers me when I see someone in a kitchen touch food with their hands. Although I didn't see the cook touch the cash register I still like to see the cook who prepares food not touch it with their hands in a fast food restaurant.
I went to Da Silva for their grilled Portuguese-style chicken. While their small restaurant is attractive, their chicken is disappointing. The breast/wing was small in size and somewhat dry. The salad on the side contained fresh lettuce, onions and tomatoes but had a minimal amount of dressing. The fries tasted fine but overwhelmed the plate. There are so many better chicken (rotisserie and grilled) choices in Montreal that I will likely skip Da Silva's in the future.
The owner has the gift to put your smile on your face! always wonderfully nice and family, he gives you the desire to come back. Two blocks from home, I ordered some chicken to take away. meat, fries are a mix of special spices that gives them all the flavor (can be spiced to taste). very good value quality price.
Great chicken, but very expensive and the service is lacking (very slow, and if a friend of the employees is there give up.) If you want spicy, be sure to confirm regularly, because about 90% of the time they try to give me not spicy. Salad is disappointing, fries are okay.
Not the best portugese in Montreal, but definitely up there. Owners are very nice. Chicken is cooked to order, so call ahead. It's a nice place to sit down and watch the game while having a nice meal.Small and welcoming, this kind of place rarely exists anymore.
Small place with limited choices. The grilled chicken is really good and so are the fries. Very simple decor, but they have a patio, which is nice in summer. Good local spot for a tasty meal.
We were 6 people and everyone enjoyed his meal. The grilled chicken in Portuguese is excellent. The service was a little slow, while we were there before the peak hour.
The food is outstanding. Some of the best grilled chicken ever. I would recommend it to anyone. Call first if you are taking the food out as it is VERY busy.
