Went to the Groton Station House Restaurant with my wife early on a Saturday. Had a cocktail at the bar, then into the dining room for dinner. Very nice room, lighter woods, not noisy, but energetic. I had the wild mushroom torte as an app, followed with a special (monkfish, with a spicy sauce, with smoked shrimp, and mussels). My wife has the scallops app, then the duck for dinner. She very much enjoyed her meal, scallops were large and nicely cooked, and her duck was perfect. My torte was great, very flavorful. The only critique i would make is rather than having 3 'fingers ' of puff pastry, a square of pastry under and/or over the mushrooms would have improved the look a bit. The monkfish...
We went as a family for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t know what to expect, and I was impressed by the amazing staff and their attention to detail and how they catered to our every need. From the hostesses to our exceptional server, Zane, we had a fantastic dining experience. I have been telling all of my friends to try Groton Station House. I didn’t love anything i had, but there were a few items I’m interested in going back to try. My baseline test when i try a new place is to order the ribeye and this one was maybe a 4/10 while costing $40. Seemed like it was sous vide (which isusually great when finished properly) but then flipped on the grill for 2 second per side just for grill marks. Left it oddlychewy. Gibbet down the road has a better ribeye based on this one experience (but i won’t gamble on it again for $40). Thechowder was ultra thick (even thicker than the photo shows. Almost paste-like) which bummed me out at first but i gotta say ittasted fantastic. A real book/cover situation. Nice inside and very friendly staff....
We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The cocktails were great like the appetizers. My main course was the more blazing chicken and while the chicken and the broccolini were pretty good, I must say that I did not for the strength side that came with the dish as standard. It was completely tasteless and had absolutely no taste. Service was great and the ambience is classic. I'll come back, but maybe some more for dinner next time.

Had an amazing dinner. The staff and service was top notch. Everyone was gracious and attentive without being overbearing. The live piano really added an extra nice touch to the whole atmosphere. I ordered calamari for my appetizer and it was beyonddelicious! It was nice and crispy with two amazing sauces. My main dish was the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I wouldhighly recommend this restaurant!
Nice place, used to be a fire station. I tried the appetizer crab cake, entree cod and drink old fashioned, desert creme brulee. Food is great. Our group was mostly vegetarians and the staff accommodated all our requests. Live music added to thecharm.
The service was amazing and the food was good. The ambiance was a bit off due to the really loud guy sitting next to us but the staff was more than accommodating and let us move to another table. We will be back!
Not the best, not the worst just grateful to be able to have a nice dining experience with fancy food safely out on the deck during times of Covid (still won’t eat inside anywhere). August 2021.

Food was good, not great. Crab cakes very good. Sole a bit under cooked. Pricey for what you get. More likely to go back in warmer weather when we can sit outside for a few beers and appetizers.
Brought my wife here for her bday, we had a great time the scallops app and sirloin entree were amazing and Max our server was excellent. Will definitely come back again!
