We decided to give this popular restaurant a try. Unfortunately, we ended up parking right next to a garbage can, which wasn't ideal. The tables weren't cleared, giving the place a messy appearance. I ordered the wings, which were decent but a bit expensive, and I also tried the famous burger, which was underwhelming. My dining companion opted for a salad, but we were both disappointed with the quality and value of the food. While it seems some people enjoy it, we’ve decided to skip it next time.
In my opinion, Grumpy's is the best sports pub in Aiken. It ticks all the right boxes: delicious food, attentive service, an impressive selection of beers and drinks, and plenty of sports on TV. This is my go-to place whenever I'm in Aiken. It can get quite busy during happy hour, so I recommend arriving early or waiting until after the rush. If the wait for an indoor table is too long, there’s also outdoor seating available.
The food is always fantastic! I absolutely love the wings and have tried almost every flavor. My favorites are the blue cheese and honey Sriracha! The service is consistently excellent; however, it can get quite busy during peak hours, making the small space feel very crowded. As for kid-friendliness, I have an 8-month-old, and they do offer high chairs for the little ones!
