This traveling foodie was thoroughly impressed by Guapos. Located among other popular restaurants in the area, we were greeted with fantastic energy and seated promptly. The staff brought us water, chips, and dip right away. While I wasn't particularly fond of the house salsa—though it wasn't bad, just not to my taste—I must say this loud and clear: GET THE HORCHATA. No questions! It tasted homemade and so flavorful, truly the best I've ever had. Our table was frequently cleared, and our water was refilled without us having to ask. We ordered a steak bowl and shrimp tacos, both of which were a solid 10 out of 10. The ingredients were fresh, the steak was well-seasoned, and the portion sizes...
The staff was friendly. They were quite busy but we were seated in a timely manner. The food was presented well. Fresh, hot and very tasty. The Margarita?s were also good. There was a section in the restaurant outside of the kitchen where a woman rolling out dough for tortillas in house. That was neat to see. I will visit again Thank you for the good service and tasty food.
The server initially brought the wrong order for my husband, but he quickly rectified the mistake. The atmosphere was pleasant with music playing, though it could get a bit loud when staff sang birthday songs to guests; however, it didn't disturb us. It's a family-friendly spot with great brunch options.
The tacos were essentially grocery store taco shells with uninspiring flavors that were absurdly overpriced, as was everything else on the menu. This place must rely upon tourists who go once for the riverfront who will never come back. Even the margaritas were disappointing.

Do yourself a favor and eat at Guapo's. Great food, great atmosphere and great people. Another table had a birthday and all the floor staff came and really made it feel like a party with their song. Can't wait to be in the area again and come back here.
Very disappointed with the food. My pineapple margarita was awful. It was too expensive for the quality of food/drink. Servers were all very nice.
Music was too loud Food was prepared quickly which was great Guacamole was excellent!! But the entree salad and enchiladas were just okay.
The service was excellent and outside seating was fabulous. the food was good, standard, Mexican fare and very reasonably priced.

In general, everything is fine, my waitress is super friendly, only the music is very loud.
