It's been a long while since I've been back to Gung Ho. Well, it was really worth the trip today! The place is very clean, and bright. Now, it's not the coolest of places to eat, but the food is good! What more can you say? I've been to some places that don't look so good, but the atmosphere isn't everything! It was a cold and stormy night (2017.02.03) and it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away and the wait staff looked after us right away too. The menu is very good with lots of options and also 'dinners' that are packaged as specials. I was with my wife, and we both ordered the same thing, along with chop sticks. You can't eat Chinese without chopsticks. The veggie spring rolls arrive...
It all depends on who's cooking...been there when everything's good and been there when everything's been so greasy and inedible...to the point that u can tell it's going to be lousy by the way the vegetables have been chopped rather than sliced. There is always a wait for the bill and a wait to pay it since the servers are not allowed to accept the payments...very strange and inefficient set up.Washrooms need to be cleaned up more frequently
Not a local but had dinner at Gung Ho last night<br/ What a fantastic discovery I could not say enough good things to the server, Tammy, and the owners. The food was so delicious. And such a fine selection on the menu<br/ <br/ Truthfully by far the best Chinese food I have had in years.<br/ Orillia you sure are lucky people. I don't think anything else in Orillia can touch this place for quality not even Theos
My wife likes chinese food now and then, I'm not a. Huge fan myself, but I have to admit, the food here is very good, portions are generous and the price is very reasonable.Very pleasant service as wellThe atmosphere is pretty basic but other than that I think it's the best chinese in Orillia.I'll go back without complaining like I usually do :) Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Best dim sum. Thank you Patrick Candy, we love going to your restaurant for our favorite and fresh made dim sum. Serving size and price but the best is flavor. Your rainbow chop is amazing and your presentation was beyond expectation. It is our favorite traditional Chinese food!!!!!<br/ <br/ Thanks
Amazing! Having lived in Vancouver and tried authentic food. In Chinatown - Gung-ho surpasses all restaurants there! Wonton soup is amazing and flavourful. Staff are wonderful and remember everyone and greet them as family! Try and eat your way through the menu! Very tasty!
Hard to believe that a Chinese Food Restaurant serves breakfast! And an excellent one at that! Price is reasonable and they serve Chinese or Canadian dishes at lunch and dinner. No complaints there either! Waitresses are quick and efficient!
